Sophie woke up sometime later to Keefe standing over her.
"Hey," he said, leaning over to kiss her. When he leaned back Sophie saw that he had dark circles under his eyes.
"Keefe," she sighed, racing her hand up to his cheek
"We were worried about you," he grinned, but it didn't reach his eyes.
"Where is everyone else?" Sophie asked, starting to sit up
. "No, no, no. You need to rest," Keefe said gently laying her back down "Right Elwin?"
"Yes, yes Sophie you need to rest, you dislocated your shoulder pretty badly. It needs time to heal." Elwin replied popping his head into the room.
"I'll tell them you are awake okay? They can come in here." Keefe said starting towards the door.
" Keefe no. I'm tired of the Neverseen keeping us down."
Keefe stood there for a moment, shifting from foot to foot. "Fine Foster, but if you so much as stumble over your feet, we're coming right back in here."
He grabbed her hand and helped her stand up. She started to pull her hand away, but he gripped it harder.
"Ready?"Keefe asked.
" One last thing," she said, turning to kiss him. She stayed there way longer than intended, but when they parted she felt a lot better.
"Okay now, I'm ready," she said beaming.
"Come on!" Keefe said, pulling her out the door.
