Seraphine Palaceh, Eldoria
December

As Jennie walked out of the meeting with Prime Minister Alexander Carter, her mind was a whirlwind of thoughts. The Prime Minister's veiled condescension and subtly sexist remarks still lingered, fueling her frustration. But she had no time to dwell on that—her next challenge awaited: a meeting with the cabinet.

If sitting through an hour with a misogynist had tested her patience, the thought of facing a room full of them was daunting. She had been to cabinet meetings before, accompanying her father when she was younger, but this time was different. Her father wasn't there, and she wasn't just an observer anymore—she was in charge. She was in his chair.

Jennie's Christine Louboutin heels clicked sharply against the marble floor as she followed Jarvis to the waiting car. Each step echoed the weight of her responsibilities.

"Your Royal Highness," Jarvis began as they neared the vehicle. "The cabinet members are expecting you. I've prepared some notes for you, should you need them during the meeting."

Jennie accepted the papers, trying to steady her thoughts as her fingers brushed over the pages. "Thank you, Jarvis," she replied, her voice firm but laced with tension.

As she was about to step into the car, she turned back to Jarvis. "One more thing," she added.

"Yes, Your Highness?" Jarvis stood at attention, awaiting her command.

"While Lisa's here, make sure a security team is assigned to her. Have them keep me updated on her whereabouts."

Jarvis smiled warmly. "Consider it done, Your Highness."

Jennie managed a small smile, but the tension between them remained palpable. She was still upset with Jarvis for keeping certain things from her, but there was no one else she trusted as much. Time would heal their friendship, and deep down, Jennie knew they'd always be close.

As the car sped through the streets of Eldoria's capital, Jennie sent a quick message to Lisa: "Heading to parliament. I'll be back after the meeting."
Lisa's reply was almost instant: "You'll do great! Can't wait to hear about your first day as acting Head of State."
Jennie smiled softly, but part of her wondered if she would live up to Lisa's confidence.
