"How was ya' date?" Trey asked over the loud music blaring from the speakers. By the look on my face, he should've already known.

It was barely that.

Trey and I sat down in a secluded area to chill for a quick second.

The clubs dj was playing a couple Chief Keef songs so all the hood niggas skipped out onto the dance floor.

I wasn't with it.

A bunch of musty dudes crowded on a dance floor ain't sit well with me.

"It was cool." I lied through my teeth. I really didn't want to go into detail about what went on last night. That girl is sum' else.

"Keep on lying to me." Trey made a 'tsk' noise before removing the cigarette from behind his ear. He knows I hate those damn cancer sticks.

"Man." I chuckled lightly, already knowing he wasn't going to stop bothering me about it."Just know there's not gonna be another one."

"Why? What happened? Spill that damn tea."

I shook my head, taking a sip of the patron I had in my cup. He needs to stop hanging around Samere.

"First off, I got there late because of Mehgan. She couldn't pick Royalty up from daycare."

I felt myself start to get angry just thinking about my baby mother. I couldn't wait until court next weekend. I'm already positive that I'll win custody of my lil' mama.

Trey shook his head in disappointment then hand motioned for me to continue.

"My phone died so I couldn't text her. Then once I got there, they had a tray of red at the front. Samere told me she drink wine so I thought aye, she might not be as mad if I bring her some. I grabbed a little glass ghen followed the waitress to where Leah was seated." I paused to take a breath.

"Anyway, I wasn't paying attention so I ended up bumping into her and spilling the wine all over her dress."

"Aw man, please tell me she had on red."

"White."

"White white?"

"Nigga what other white is there?"

"You got the dingy whites, then its the creme whites or-"

I gave him a look signaling for him to shut up. He shut his mouth and lit the cigarette instead.

"So then what happened?"

"She cussed me out then poured wine on me." I had just washed my curls too. I should've made her ass pamper me.

Chuckling, he inhaled the intoxicating smoke."Sounds feisty. How does she look?"

"Bad as hell, just like her attitude."

I'm not gonna lie and say she's not gorgeous. Her damn attitude is just ugly.

"Whatchu' gonna do then?"

"What you mean? I ain't messing with her. Ion' got time for that. Imma just chill and focus on RoRo and myself." I knew I had my faults but Maleah didn't have to act all out the way she did.

"Ole' proud father head ass."

He always had to ruin the moment. I reached out and smacked the back of his neck.

"I'm just playing. I'm proud of you man."

It actually felt really good to hear that Trey was proud of me. He's like an older brother so it somehow meant a lot.

"Thanks brotha'. I appreciate it."

"Alright enough with the sappy stuff, got a youngin' feeling soft."

I scoffed loudly just to irk his nerves. He's thirty. He needs to give this 'young' shit up and embrace his age.

"C'mon man." He nudged me playfully."Stop thinking bout' Maleah and go ahead and get your Mack daddy on."

He knows damn well I wasn't thinking about that girl.

He did have a point though. We were in a club full of females.

He put his cigarette out in the ashtray and we walked towards the railing where you could watch everyone dancing down stairs.

While Trey poured more Grey Goose into his cup, I looked around the club for someone to help me relieve some stress tonight.

_

No, it's not gonna be a cliche where she happens to be at the club as well.

lmaooo, I ain't that basic y'all.
