C."Alright, I'll hit you up tomorrow. Thanks." I hung up the phone, ending a long conversation with my lawyer Aaliyah.
Another day another damn dollar being took from me for Mehgan. It's been like this since that night in Africa. She really wants custody of Roy and she ain't stopping till she gets it.
I offered to let her come pick RoRo up for a weekend, which she declined. This makes me wonder if she really wants to see her daughter or if she's doing all this to get under my skin.
Crazy ass.
I tossed my phone in the cup holder, putting my car in park. I contemplated on just pulling out her driveway but I know I had to make things right with my baby.
Maybe I shouldn't have pressed Leah about her baby daddy the other day. When she's ready to tell me she'll tell me.
But, ion understand why she's still playing a nigga. She's keeps a lot bottled up from me and I don't understand why. It's not like I'll make fun of her or anything. Shit, I already told her about most of my past.
Then, she knows I like her and obviously wants to be with her. But, every time I bring up the subject of us being in a relationship she brushes it off. So, now, all I need to do is see where her heads at.
Grabbing the portrait from the back that I spent most of my time working on last night, I locked the car door and started up her long ass walkway, burning a few calories.
Once I made it to the front door, I knocked twice. No answer.
I knew she was home because her Audi was parked in the back.
After knocking some more and still getting no answer, I pulled out my phone to call her. Before I even pressed the call button, I noticed two big brown eyes staring straight at me through the window.
I smacked my lips."Maleah, I know you see me, see you, see me."
I heard her sigh before the sounds of her little feet hit the floor boards. She pulled open the door for me with an irritant expression.
"Yes?"
"I'm sorry."
After a second of silence, she jumped on me, wrapping her legs around my waist.
Well that was easy.
I held the painting in one hand and used the other to support her.
"No, I'm sorry. I really overreacted yesterday."
I chuckled, carrying her inside the house."Yeah you did."
She straight-faced me as I placed her back on her feet."Really though, I'm sorry for snapping at you like I did."
"It's cool mama. I probably shouldn't have asked you about August." I emphasized his name. Who the fuck names their son August anyway?
"Ew, don't even say his name." She made a funny face before walking into the kitchen so I followed.
I took in her appearance while watching her dig around in the fridge. She looked like a little nerd in the face and like she was about to go party from the neck down.
