My hands shake within his touch, my brain becoming foggy at his words.
Was I hearing that right?
I inhaled then exhaled softly, my eyes only set firmly on him before I get a glimpse of reality again and pulled my hands away.
"Stop messing with me." I said, scooting away just for him to laugh at my action.
"You're so easy to tease." He says and I grab my pillow to yank it at him which of course he catches easily.
"C'mon, we're gonna go." He says and I furrow my eyebrows.
"Where are we going?" I ask while he simply shakes his head and smirks.
"To get you books of course." He stood in front of me waiting for me to get up until he realized my state and nods.
"Let me pick something for you to wear." He says, walking towards my closet. I widen my eyes, quickly getting up so he doesn't see my underwear that was exactly displayed in the front. I also didn't want him to see the boxes filled with plushies that I had stored up on the shelf in case he would laugh at me.
When he opens the doors I manage to step in front of him and close it back, eyeing him carefully.
"I'll do it myself." I argued, sighing heavily.
Isaac smiles at me before nodding, waiting behind me to see what I pick out. I look behind my shoulder subtly before rolling my eyes, scanning a sweater and jeans that I knew I wanted to wear.
I took them out of the hangers and quickly headed to my bathroom to change.
As I take off my original pajamas and wear the outfit, I started to get subconscious about what I looked like. My face seemed puffy and tired, causing me to sigh a little.
I get out the bathroom and see Isaac right where I left him, still standing in front of my closet before glancing at me.
I stare at him a little before taking the bag with the book and card.
"I'm only going because of this, so don't act all proud." I said, handing him his card back.
He smiles softly while looking at me.
"Got it tiny."

It was currently almost 8pm, me and Isaac had just arrived at Barnes and Nobles and I was battling a cold at the same time. It felt like a fever dream being here, sick and with Isaac beside me buying books but anything for free books am I right?
I left him at the coffee shop where he told me he needed coffee in his system and I instantly went to the romance section.
I was a sucker for romance novels. I was a sucker for fantasy novels and occasionally manga. But the genre I really loved reading the most was romance.
I snuggled my hands inside my hoodie pocket and browsed through the books, eyeing every spine and description that had placards framed on the shelves. I found one that I liked at first but then when I saw that there was a love triangle, I vomited.
Just kidding, I put it back.
I disliked love triangles, it's messy and dumb to me. I go for the slow burns, the soft romance, the angst and tension filled ones. Those are always my favorites.
I hear some steps coming towards me so I turned around and saw Isaac holding two cups of coffee. The steam was pouring out from the hole and my stomach rumbled, wishing it was hot chocolate instead since I hate coffee.
