"Hey guys!!" Steve hollered from across the street by the lot.

Johnny and Dallas looked over in his direction and waved back, a smile spread across their faces, especially Johnnys.
Dallas was pushing Johnny in his wheelchair. Johnny has not been able to walk ever since we ran away and got stuck in the church fire back in Windrixville; and his near-death experience.. Dally had actually changed from the reckless hood he used to be. None of us Greasers thought Johnny was gonna make it.. He was so burnt up, and bruised.. We all lost most hope – especially me and Dallas.
                                     —–——
Nothing ever seemed to ever phase Dally; he always just shrugged everything off that ever happens to him, even death. But when Johnny was going to die and in the hospital, it shook all of us - mostly Dally.
Johnny was the only person Dally actually loved, they were like brothers. Johnny has a rough life at home, his parents always arguing and drinking and beating him whenever they felt like it. So the day when Johnny was released from the hospital, Dally took the roles of both of Johnny's parents.
Everyday; Dally took him out to the local diner, and they would eat meals and enjoy eachothers company. They hung out at the lot after school whenever the rare occurrence that they would both go to school. And most– no, everytime, do literally everything together. Dally made sure that Johnny was never alone. For his happiness and safety, And so none of those no–good Socs can mess with him no more, and Johnny absolutely loved it.. There was always something that made him smile, even though he was struggling with not being able to use his legs. For anybody, being stuck in a wheelchair for the rest of your life isn't ideal for anybody. But for a bashful Greaser like Johnny??
