FINAL AUTHOR'S NOTE:

SURPRISE!??😅

Okay, hear me out...

The last chapter included a significant time jump, I thought it would be nice to show you what happened in between. I feel like the story is not fully complete without this addition.

Fair warning: this is not your typical Epilogue. Sorry, I couldn't help myself. 🥺

Anyway, consider this as my little treat. I know you didn't ask for one but I'm giving it to you anyway. So... here you go!🥰

That said...

If by some miracle the universe conspires in our favor and this story reaches Ling or Orm, I want to properly say:

Thank you, Miss Lingling and Miss Orm.

This Epilogue is dedicated for the both of you.♥️

Wherever life's journey leads you, may you continue to inspire and touch lives as you've touched mine.

Thank you for bringing light to so many. Your impact extends far beyond the screen, creating a lasting legacy of inspiration.

As your professional careers unfold, I wish you both tremendous success in all your endeavors.

The Proposal
2 Years After TSOU

The air in the Grand Théâtre Lumière was electric, charged with anticipation as the Cannes Film Festival reached its crescendo. Amidst the sea of glittering gowns and crisp tuxedos, Ling and Orm sat side by side, their hands intertwined, pulses racing in unison. The moment they'd been waiting for had arrived – the announcement of Best Actress in a Leading Role.

Orm's portrayal of a complex historical figure in the period piece "The Last Kingdom of Ayutthaya" had earned her a coveted nomination. The weight of the moment pressed down on her; to say she was nervous would be a gross understatement. Her anchor in this storm of emotions was Ling, whose thumb traced soothing circles on the back of Orm's hand, a silent reminder: You're not alone.

Earlier that evening, their red carpet appearance had set social media ablaze. Though both women had flourishing individual careers, their occasional shared photos delighted their loyal fanbase. Tonight, however, with Ling as Orm's escort at such a prestigious event, speculation about the true nature of their relationship reached a fever pitch.

But for Ling, none of that mattered. Tonight wasn't about LingOrm – it was about Orm. Ling was here to celebrate her partner's talent, her dedication, her art. She glanced at Koy Narumon, seated nearby, the head of Orm's support team and the woman who had raised this extraordinary talent.

The presenter's voice cut through the hushed anticipation: "The award for Best Actress in a leading role goes to..."

A heartbeat. An eternity.

The rustle of an envelope.

"Orm Kornnaphat, Thailand, for 'The Last Kingdom of Ayutthaya'."

Time seemed to stand still.
