Chapter 10: Night out

Bright's POV

After an hour I met with Mr.Krup and his men and discussed on further details. He was appreciative of the new effort and promised he will do his best to make this working. The planning went on for hours until someone came in barging disturbing us.

"Prince Joss," Krup got up from his seat and bowed respectfully.

Joss was standing there looking... annoyed? "What's the matter Joss?" I asked him.

"You haven't had your lunch," he said. Without waiting for my reply he already dismissed Krup and his men.

"I didn't notice the time," I said arranging the papers I had.

"But I noticed," he said and helped me arranged it. When the table was clear, few servants started setting up the table for lunch.

"You didn't have to trouble them Joss, I could go there and have lunch as usual."

"Yeah you can go, but I am so hungry I can't keep going front and back."

Only then I noticed two plates were set on the top. I guess he didn't have lunch either. "Did you wait for me?"

He just nodded and started serving my plate along with the helpers. I felt guilty. "You didn't have to Joss or atleast you could've mindlinked me."

"Its alright, let's have a change of place. It gets boring eating at same place."

We started digging in silently. As usual the lunch was good but somehow it felt too good today. Not only my stomach my heart also feels sated.

After lunch he went through what I had discussed with Krup and gave his suggestions. Then he excused himself as he was needed somewhere else yet he took a moment to remind me about our evening plan, 'our date' according to him.

I also headed back to our room. I checked the time, I still had few hours to get ready. I decided to take a shower before getting dressed.

I stood in front of my closet trying to decide on my outfit for the evening when I heard a knock on the door. I adjusted my bathing robe and went to open, I caught the whiff of familiar scent but there was new note added to it.

I smiled before opening the door and there stood my best friend with an eye blinding smile. "Did you miss me?" He asked winking playfully.

I launched myself and hugged him tightly. "I see you're still alive," I motioned him to come inside. He seemed hesitant but I didn't leave him other choice. We sat on the chair and he kept checking the room.

"I was so scared Win, I couldn't get hold of you for days! What happened to you idiot?"

I was expecting an answer but all I recieved was a beautifully blushing bunny infront of me. Why he is behaving weirdly?

"I had my heat," his voice was low barely a whisper.

"YOU HAD YOUR HEAT??" he flinched away and threw the cushion on me. "You don't have to make an announcement idiot!" He scolded but the blush never seemed to go.

"I am sorry, it just came out of nowhere," I tried taking few breaths, "you had your first heat already? What happened? Where? Did you spend the heat alone?"

"I get you, even I wasn't expecting it so soon but it happened."

"Was it scary? Were you alone?"

"Of course it was scary but thank goddess I wasn't alone," He shyly adjusted his shirt revealing his neck and it was a mating mark! That explains the new note on his scent.

"You're mated already! My bunny boy is all grown up now!"

He hit me playfully and told everything happened. Apparently his heat started on my wedding day itself, fortunately P'Nani was there to drop him also helped him. Since it was his first heat, it lasted more than a week.
