Bright's POV
"The room for your paintings! You are not going to show me that?" I asked him.
"Do you really want to see that?" He asked amused.
"Yes," I said and he grinned wide. He got my hand and dragged me to the next room. The room was not so big as his room but it was quite spacious. There was a small working table, few chairs and stools. There were easels of different heights and sizes. But the thing which really got my attention was his paintings. There were paintings hanging on the walls of the room. Mostly it was sceneries and landscapes. Everything was so beautiful! I never imagined he would be this artistic and skilled.
"This is so good Joss! You are really skilled!" I appreciated his paintings and he gave a shy smile. "Thank you," he mumbled.
I took my time in seeing every paintings he hanged on the wall and also some paintings he kept inside the cupboard. He was eagerly explaining about the time he drew those paintings. His eyes were sparkling and his usual cocky proud grin was absent. He was genuinely smiling while speaking. It looked like he was being his real self here.
"And this one was my first painting," he showed the painting of a small boy waving goodbye to his parents.
I shifted in my chair and got the painting to get a clear look at the painting. "Let me guess, you drew this when your parents left you alone and went somewhere?"
"Half correct. I drew after seeing Jamie crying for our parents short visit to other pack. I was used to it, but she was not ready to accept. She cried a lot. So to entertain her we both were drawing something and that's when I drew this."
"You are a sweet brother Joss. Jamie is really lucky," I said and handed the painting back to him. He smiled and kept it properly.
"Joss, do you do portraits?" I asked eagerly.
"I do. But not that much," he said and took something from the bottom shelf of cupboard. It was not big paintings like before, but it was small sized portraits of his parents, Jamie, Nani and Milk. To me, this was not bad like how he said. This was also amazing.
"You're a liar Joss. You dare say this amazing works as so-so."
Again he gave a shy smile. It was actually nice seeing him quite and shy. "Can you paint me?" I don't know why I asked, but I want to.
"Then I have to stare at you for hours," he winked. Gone his shy self which was there few minutes ago.
"As if you are not staring me now!" I retorted and he was surprised. "Don't give that face! I know you are staring at me long before. I was trained to be alpha, leader of pack, remember?"
"So that means you were also watching me," he said proudly. What is there to be so proud? I ignored him and went back to seeing the paintings. He also didn't push it more.
After that we went back to our room. Later we had dinner and as usual Jamie was teasing us. Everything was fine, but I am little worried because I haven't heard anything from Win, since last night. I couldn't reach him or Tine, his wolf.
"Bright, why are you worried?" He asked laying on his side of bed.
"I haven't heard from Win."
"You are frowning that deeply because you haven't heard from him?" He chuckled and I glared making him stop.
"He is fine. Nani dropped him home last night."
"But why can't I mindlink him?"
"That I don't know. But he is fine. Don't worry," I sighed and finally lied down facing him. The moment my head hit the pillow, I let out a yawn.
