Eventually Jade fell asleep on Tori's shoulder.
I smiled to myself a bit sadly, this is what it took to be able to hold Jade's hand. Though she was asleep, I kept rubbing the same circles with my thumb on hers. She was so soft.
Seeing Jade crying made me feel hollow inside and I blinked back the tears that wanted to come out. I leaned my head on Jade ready to stay here awhile. At least until I sobered up to ride back home.
My phone buzzed with a text. Opening it, I frowned upon seeing it's from Beck.
Beck: hey where is jade?
She's with me
Beck: I need to talk to her. Now.
I'm sorry, but that's not a good idea rn
I'll let her know tho
I'm disappointed in u, why Beck?Beck: it was a mistake!
k, I'll talk to her tmr
make sure she gets home safe?Of course.
I rolled my eyes at his texts. Putting my phone down, I grabbed the water bottle to drink and wondered if the rest of the gang knew what was going on. They were probably still having a good time.
I sighed and decided to send a text to Cat if she could give us a ride back soon. I'll get my bike later. I doubt Jade is in the partying mood and judging from how much she drank just now after Beck, she was going to have a killer headache tomorrow.
Another buzz from my phone said Cat is ready to go when we are. I sighed in relief, thinking she wanted to stay longer.
"Jade," I spoke gently and pulled at her hand.
Jade grumbled a bit and opened her eyes, focusing on mine after a second."Come on, let's go home, Jade." She nodded and looked away from me. I helped her up and gave her the rest of the water to drink.
"Ready?"
"Yeah."I texted Cat we are headed outside and soon met up with the gang after I helped Jade down the steps of the front of the house. She let go of my hand on the last step and stomped over. My hand felt empty and strange without hers. I put it in my jacket pocket.
"Hey girls, have a good time?" Andre asked with a big smile, no doubt getting some numbers from the party. Cat did one of her happy squeals.
"I was." Jade crossed her arms and it was obvious she was not happy.
"Sorry, I thought you guys wanted to go?" Cat said.
"The party was fine. Average. Just like the girl I caught Beck kissing."The group gasped.
"No, Beck wouldn't do that," Robbie half laughed.
"Could. Would. Did." Jade spat out.
I rubbed her arm to calm her, turning my eyes from hers to the others, "I'm shocked too, but I saw him."Andre sighed and shook his head, "The hell, man. I'm sorry, Jade. I don't know what he was thinking."
"He just had a lot to drink probably." That came from Robbie and all the girls instantly glared at him.
Cat touched his shoulder, "That's never a good reason, Robbie."
"Yeah, and even if it were, he only had one beer the entire time," Jade said bitterly, "If you are all done with the yapping session, can we go now?"
