I hated Vega, but that didn't stop my eyes from staring into the brunettes doe eyes and then wandering down to her extremely toned torso. I could see an outline of defined abs. I couldn't stop myself from staring as she started rambling about whatever. Probably explaining why she wasn't at school since she was sick. Wait.
Bringing my eyes back up, she saw Tori looked fine, perfect even.
No! She did not just call Tori perfect! She meant Tori is physically fine. Yes, very fine.
Jade gritted her teeth, hating how her thoughts are getting jumbled. The point was goodie-two-shoes lied about being sick.
She raised a eyebrow at Tori who seemed to have calmed down from her rambling and was saying she got over the flu just yesterday and just wanted an extra day to recover.
Which I guess is plausible...
Looking closer, Jade could see Tori had a faint scratch on her face. Wonder how she got it? An image of her accidentally dropping her phone on her face came to mind that made Jade amused for a second.
"How'd you get that scratch Vega?"
Tori seemed to freeze for a millisecond before easily saying, "Trina."
Everyone else seemed to buy her excuse and Jade usually wouldn't question it- the most random disaster could happen and Jade would believe Trina had something to do with it- if it weren't for Tori tensing up before she gave her answer.
Shrugging it off, she sat down at one of the red couches, trying to ignore the glances from Tori and not paying attention to the conversation the others were having.
She risked a glance at Tori's abs, god, couldn't she change?
I could feel my cheeks were warm which was embarrassing. Jade West does not blush!
To her frustration, it didn't go away until Tori and her oddly defined abs were out of sight. I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding.
I could hear the clinking of glass as Tori probably was getting pink lemonade for us.
Jade made a point not to look at Tori as the toned brunette handed her a glass, but she could feel her cheeks warm back up. when their fingers brushed. Damn it.
