Tara Raghuvanshi was always meticulous, both in her work and in her personal life. But today was different. Her mind was cluttered with thoughts of the upcoming London project and the presentation she had to prepare. In the midst of this chaos, she had made a crucial oversight she had forgotten to wear her engagement ring.

Sitting at her desk, she noticed the absence of the familiar cool weight on her finger. Panic surged through her. Oh no, she thought, glancing down at her bare hand. It wasn't just any ring it was the ring the engagement ring Reyansh Rajvansh had given her. Their engagement was still a secret, known only to close friends like Ayush and Shriya. But to her and Reyansh, that ring symbolized their bond, hidden for now but deeply important.

I was in a deep thought about my engagement ring and then my phone buzzed, breaking my thoughts. It was a message from Reyansh.

Reyansh: "Boardroom. 5 minutes."

I gulped. Reyansh didn't usually call her into meetings unless it was important. And I knew he always noticed every little thing. Please don't let him see the missing ring, I thought, hastily gathering my notes and heading for the boardroom.

The moment I entered the boardroom, I saw him Reyansh, standing by the window, his hands in his pockets. His tailored suit hugged his broad shoulders perfectly, his stance confident and commanding, as always. The sun streamed through the window, casting a soft glow around him, making him look even more formidable.

He turned at the sound of the door, his dark eyes locking onto hers. "Tara," he said, his voice low but authoritative.

I smiled nervously. "You called?"

Reyansh took a step forward, his eyes trailing down to her hands. And that's when it happened. His eyes narrowed slightly, and his gaze lingered on the spot where her engagement ring should have been. He didn't say anything at first, but his silence was louder than any words.

"Tara..." he began slowly, his voice filled with a dangerous calm. "Where's your ring?"

My heart sank. He noticed. Of course, he noticed. Her mind raced for an excuse, but she knew there was no point in lying.
