I'm at the airport as Reyansh is leaving for his business trip and it is only five days, but standing there with Shriya, and Ayush, I realized how hard this parting would be, especially for me. I was feeling very uneasy fear of him getting away from me only for five days I know but now we can't live without each other I was only glancing at Reyansh who was holding my hand and I was making puppy eyes at him.
Shriya noticed I was feeling unease and nudged me lightly. "It's just five days, Tara. Tum theek ho na?"
I forced a small smile. "Haan, but... I don't know. It feels weird, you know? I'm just going to miss him a lot."
Ayush snorted, trying to keep things light. "Miss Karne ka kya? He's not disappearing forever. Five days, Tara. Paanch din. You'll survive."
I shot him a mock glare. "You make it sound so simple. Tumhe nahi pata, Ayush. You don't know how it feels to be in a long-distance relationship for five whole days," I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes dramatically.
Reyansh, who had just pocketed his phone after checking his emails one last time, stepped closer to me. His usual confident, CEO persona softened when he saw the worry in my eyes. He reached out, pulling me gently into his arms. "It's just five days," he said softly, pressing a kiss to my forehead. "I'll call every day."
I looked up at him, my eyes a mix of concern and fondness. "Promise?" I asked quietly, my voice almost childlike.
Reyansh smiled. "Promise," he whispered.
Just then, the flight announcement echoed through the terminal, signalling that it was time for Reyansh to leave. My heart clenched as I reluctantly let go of him. Reyansh grabbed his bag and turned to Ayush and Shriya. "Take care of her, alright?"
Shriya nodded with a smile, but Ayush, never missing a chance to joke, smirked. "She's a big girl. I'm more worried about you."
With a final glance at Reyansh headed toward the gate, disappearing from view. I stood there, my gaze lingering on the spot where he had vanished. The airport suddenly felt much colder, much emptier.

The first day without Reyansh wasn't as bad as I had imagined. I busied myself with work at the office, keeping myself distracted with meetings and tasks. Since me, Shriya, and Ayush worked at the same company—So, of course—there were plenty of distractions. The phone calls from Reyansh helped, too, although they were short, squeezed between his own busy schedule of meetings and conferences.
Then suddenly my phone rang and it was none other than Mr. Reyansh Rajvansh.
"Stop calling me and work on your dream project reyansh!" I teased Reyansh during one of our call.
Reyansh chuckled on the other end."You're the dream, sunshine. Sab kuch tumhare baad aata hai."
I blushed, biting my lip as I tried to sound unimpressed. "Stop being cheesy, Reyansh."
