11: Partially reunited

ANNABETH

We hop on the subway. Me and Percy put earbuds in as we go on the Airport Train.

I slightly regret spamming Leo, because he has taken that into reverse. My phone has not stopped buzzing. One thing about Leo: If you give him something, he will take it back into your face.

Sent: 2:53 PM

Leo: You better be at the Airport, Chase

Sent: 2:57 PM

Leo: You better be at the Airport, Chase

Sent: 3:11 PM

Leo: You better be at the Airport, Chase

Annabeth: Percy and I are two minutes away. Your flight is landing in fifteen minutes. STOP SPAMMING

Leo: You better be at the Airport, Chase

Annabeth: I'm sorry, okay!!

Leo: Fine. The in flight wifi will probably crash in a minute anyway

I then realised something

Annabeth: Leo, your flight doesn't have wifi.

Leo: Nah, I've been using my phone data

Annabeth: TURN IT OFF! OR ELSE THE PLANE WILL CRASH

Leo: Chill! Cya!

I leaned my head, tilting it towards the ceiling. ''Leo finally stopped?'' Percy asks. I sigh. ''Perce, the dude was using the data on his phone. That is like, the number one don't of flying''

Percy breaks out in laughter.

The train pulls up and we exit, going to meet Leo-Godsdam-Valdez at the airport.

LEO

I turn off my phone, and put my phone and gear into my toolbelt.

The plane lands, bumping and rattling the entire time.

I exit, and quickly find Percy and Annabeth. There is a huge crowd around the gate, although they're standing towards the back, where there aren't as many people.

I present myself. ''Yes, Annabeth. Before you can ask, I did catch my flight'' Annabeth laughs. ''Alright Valdez. I'm glad you made it''

We walk towards the exit, where I quickly get my bag and we catch the train back to Sallys apartment.

''We put all of your stuff in our room. You can just crash on the couch. We're going to watch a crap ton of Netflix on tonight instead of sleeping, so if you want you can join''

Leo nods. ''You both make it sound like I bought the whole Waystation with me! It's two small boxes!'' Annabeth nods. ''Yeah, but Jase and Pipes also bought five boxes of stuff they want to keep. So we just have this stack of seven boxes in our room!''

Leo smiles, probably at the mention of Jason and Piper.

We finally arrive at Sallys apartment when I realise we have a problem- the elevator.

I quickly turn to Leo. ''Hey, uh, the elevator is broken. We usually just take the fire escape''. Leo nods, and we climb up to the eighth floor.

I'm pretty sure Leo knows we're lying to him, but he just quickly squeezes my hand and continues up the stairs.

There are blue cookies on the kitchen counter, which Leo and Percy instantly swarm over. I find a spare blanket and put it on the couch for Leo.

Since he can skateboard, we head over to skate park and enjoy ourselves until Sally messages us. We head back on the train, and have dinner at home.

Soon enough, it's night time and everyone is heading to bed. We tell Leo about our Netflix obsession, and he agrees to join.

The bedroom is already small, but is made smaller by the fact that we need to squeeze three people on the bed, and there is a tower of boxes in the corner. There are clothes everywhere from when yesterday we realised we still hadn't packed from camp and it was almost midnight, so we just ended up throwing everything in the suitcases in the dark and hoping for the best. I may be more organised than Percy, but ADHD will still slap me in the face.

We open up the computer, and binge watch for the rest of the night. Our start time was around 11:15. Leo went back to sleep on the couch at 12:30, and me and Percy stayed up until 4:00, playing online games and messing around, talking and laughing. Tonight it's especially important that we don't wake anyone up with nightmares.

We've gotten pretty good at performing all nighters. Me and Percy have been practicing staying up all night, since I suspect we will probably do that a lot at camp.

At 4:00 we get changed from our pjamas and find whatever is left in our wardrobe from the frenzy of dumping everything in our cases. Being careful not to wake Leo, who is still on the couch, we head outside to go for a run around the streets.

I'm about evenly matched to Percy's speed. We go from walking, to jogging, to running, then sprinting, back down to running, jogging, and walking the last stint to the apartment.

Today we'll probably show New York to Leo, but I can't wait until 1 PM, when we head to the airport.
