Friday morning dawned bright and clear, with sunlight streaming through the window of Ally's dorm room. Ally, now fully recovered, was bustling around the kitchen, preparing breakfast. Austin, feeling content and relaxed, was lounging on the couch with his laptop, catching up on some emails and applications for college.

Austin had spent the last few days working on his applications, focusing on programs that would allow him to explore new interests outside of music. He had settled on a few business and management programs, which he hoped would give him a solid foundation for a future in the industry beyond performing.

Programs Austin was applying to:

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Entertainment Management

Bachelor of Arts in Music Business

Bachelor of Science in Music Industry Studies

Austin was just finishing up a text to his bandmates, updating them on the new plan.

Austin: "Hey guys, just wanted to let you know I'm taking a break from the tour for now. I'm focusing on applying to some business programs and working on my future. I hope you all understand. I'm still your biggest fan and will be cheering you on!"

The response was quick and supportive.

Zack: "Austin, we totally get it. Your future is important, and you've got our full support. We're here for you, no matter what. Take care of yourself!"

Leo: "Man, we're gonna miss you on the road, but we know this is the right move for you. Keep us posted on how the applications go!"

Jamie: "Good luck with everything, Austin. We're behind you 100%. Let's stay in touch and make sure we get together soon."

Austin felt a surge of relief as he read their messages. Despite the tough decision to step away from the tour, he was grateful for the support of his friends. The group chat was a comforting reminder that he wasn't alone in this.

Just as he was about to reply, his phone buzzed with a new message from Jimmy. Austin sighed and opened the text, his eyes narrowing at the harsh tone.

Jimmy: "Austin, this is ridiculous. You can't just walk away from your responsibilities like this. You're jeopardizing your career and our entire plan. I'm seriously considering ending your contract if you don't come back immediately. This is unprofessional and unacceptable."

Austin's frustration was palpable as he typed his response.

Austin: "I've made my decision, Jimmy. I need to focus on my future and my personal life right now. I understand you're upset, but this is what's best for me. I'm taking a break from the tour and won't be available for the foreseeable future."

As Austin put his phone down, Ally joined him on the couch, wrapping her arms around him. "Everything okay?"

"Yeah," Austin said, leaning into her embrace. "Just dealing with some fallout from Jimmy. He's not happy about my decision."

Ally looked concerned but supportive. "I'm sorry he's being so difficult. You're doing the right thing, and you have my support."

Austin smiled at her, feeling reassured. "Thanks, Ally. It means a lot to hear that."

As the day wore on, Austin and Ally enjoyed their time together, embracing the simple joys of life. They spent the afternoon in the park, had lunch at a cozy café, and later, cuddled up on the couch with a movie.

Their group chat with Dez and Trish was lively and full of affection. Dez, now in New York for film school, had matured quite a bit, though he still had his signature enthusiasm.

Dez: "Hey Austin and Ally! Hope you guys are doing great! Film school is intense, but I'm loving it. Miss you both! 😊"

Trish: "Hey guys! Santa Monica is beautiful, but I miss our hangouts. Austin, you're making the right choice. And Ally, I'm glad you're feeling better! 🌟"

Austin: "We miss you both! Dez, film school sounds amazing. Trish, thanks for the support. It's been a bit hectic, but we're managing. Can't wait for our next get-together!"

Dez: "Definitely! Let's plan something soon. Maybe a reunion in NYC or Santa Monica. I'll make sure to save some of my best film footage for you!"

Trish: "Sounds perfect. Looking forward to it. And Austin, remember, we're all rooting for you!"

The support from friends and fans alike helped Austin feel more confident in his decision. As the day drew to a close, Austin and Ally relaxed, content in the knowledge that they were moving forward together, embracing the new opportunities and challenges that lay ahead and on top of that the two were talking about moving in together.
