I watched as she got into the car, my eyes glancing over her to check if she was okay.
I knew she'd been drinking from the way she had been stumbling around. My heart ached, looking at her.
I just... want to reach out and comfort you.But I held back, instead just sitting silently next to her, the car driving along. After a moment, I spoke.
"I'm glad you're okay... I was worried about you." I admitted, my eyes staying fixed on her."I'm ok..." She said softly. "No need to worry, I just didn't have a ride."
I nodded slightly, studying her face for a moment, before noticing her eyes. Glossy and slightly unfocused. I could tell that she was truly drunk."You've more than just a few drinks...haven't you?" I asked, my voice gentle and understanding.
She nodded, her voice still hushed. "Yea, it was fun until it wasn't. Didn't expect to get ditched tonight. Sorry to get back in contact with you under these circumstances..."
I let out a small sigh, my expression softened seeing her current state. I gently reached over and brushed a strand of her dark hair away from her face.
"Don't worry about it. You can call me anytime, you know that. I'm just glad you're safe." I replied, my tone gentle. I then looked away, looking outside the window.

The car continued to drive on. The silence between us both was filled with a sense of tension. Kerry fidgeted anxiously for a moment before finally deciding to speak.
"Listen.. there's something I've been meaning to ask you..." He began, his voice somewhat quiet. He hesitated for a moment, eyes locking onto mine. He took a deep breath, and the words hung on the tip of his tongue.
"It's kind of embarrassing to ask.." He chuckled lightly, his eyes darting away for a second before returning again. "I just... I know it's been a while since we've last seen each other, and I..."
Kerry paused as though he was struggling to put the words together. "I was wondering..if we could...meet up more often? Or.. something like that."
I smiled widely in my drunken state, his words meaning more to me than he would know. "I would honestly love that, Kerry."
The car soon came to a stop as it arrived at Kerry's building. He got out of the car before opening the door on my side, holding out a hand to help me out. He then led the way up to his penthouse.

A warm smile appeared on my face, my heart fluttering at her words. It was a relief to know that she wanted to see me more often, too. I nodded slightly, taking in her appearance, the car's headlights making her features glow.
"I'm glad to hear it." I replied, a hint of relief in my voice. I looked at her, a small part of me wanting to reach over and pull her close.
Once we both arrived inside, I gestured for her to take a seat on the couch. "Make yourself comfortable, I'm going to go get you a glass of water." I came back a few seconds later and handed it to her, my eyes studying her current state. She was clearly a mess but was trying to hold it together.
I sat down next to her on the couch, keeping a respectful distance between us. "How much did you drink?" My tone laced with concern.
"A bit." She said, taking a sip of the water before sitting it down and leaning back against the couch. I chuckled at her response.
"Sounds like more than 'a bit' to me." I said, my voice gentle and playful as I studied her face, my eyes tracing over her drunken state.
"You're a lightweight, you know that?" I teased, a small smirk forming on his lips. She grinned and waved her hand.
"Psh since when. I remember drinking you under the table the last time we were all..." Her as darkened as her voice trailed off, seeming to remember our last encounter. My smile faded, the memories flooding back to me. I let out a sigh, my eyes averting from hers. I knew exactly what she was referring to.
"Yeah..." I said lowly, my voice slightly strained. "I remember."
