FIFTEEN

"I have a lot of questions right now."

Ocean Walker spoke as she stared at the Dutch man that she had grown to care for, his face full of a bright smile that was even evident within his eyes, his irises sparkling.

"I brought you to a zoo."

Max Verstappen smiled sheepishly, lifting the both of his hands in an awkward manner to give some sort of jazz hands motion.

"Who was it?" Ocean breathed out, blinking a couple of times. "It's either Charles or Lando."

"Charles." Max admitted, not wanting to lie to her, seeing her nodding her head up and down as his response hit her ears. "But he only told me about you liking Giraffes. He asked for a lawyer to avoid saying anything else."

Ocean giggled softly, happiness flooding her at the way that Charles had acted, knowing that he was always very funny as well as stupid. Arthur was exactly the same, just French.

"Okay, maybe I won't disown him for spilling my secrets then." The Walker girl teased lightly, a slight smirk upon her soft pink lips. "I do want to see Giraffes, though."

"Of course, that's why I bought you these." Max spoke as he reached in to a brown paper bag, his hand then being held with two different gifts.

One was a headband with giraffe ears on. He hadn't been able to buy one, so he had made one instead, with the help of his sister. It wasn't perfect, one ear was slightly higher than the other and a little bigger, but his sister had convinced him not to throw it away, because it was obvious to have been made personally which would mean more.

The second gift, was a teddy bear of sorts, a giraffe teddy bear wearing Red Bull merchandise which he had made himself yet again, and by the way that Ocean's face seemed to light up, he was hoping that she liked them.

"They're not great, so I won't be offended if you throw them away or anythi-"

Max was cut off by the body of Ocean Walker, practically tackling him in to a hug, her arms wrapping around his waist, small squeals of happiness leaving her lips.

His arms snaked their way around her waist in order to hug her back, his hand resting on the back of her head whilst the other was in the middle of her back. His lips gently pressed against her temple as she hugged him, an appreciative smile covering his features.

He was so lucky to have her in his life.

She was just golden in every single way, in the way that she cared for people and for animals, the way that she would support all of her brothers equally and make sure that none if them felt left out even if it meant that she was barely sleeping, in the way that she would always do her best to help the fans of her brothers and himself get signed merchandise or photos, sometimes taking the photos herself, in the way that she would be there after a bad race to comfort, soothe, calm and hug her people in order to make them feel better.

She was an angel, one so pure and saint like that he swore to always be the Knight there prepared to die to protect her to keep her safe, one so pure that all that he wanted to do was to smother her to avoid the harsh world around them in tainting her, because the world was cruel, harsh and mean, the complete opposite to her.

She had become his guiding light that kept him going every single day, being right there when he needed a shining star to guide him home, the guiding light that would light up his world purely by her presence.

She was the one who he would move heaven and earth for, who would lift a mountain if it meant getting to her, to be with her, who would fight a hundred thousand armies in order to spend just one more minute with her.
