CHAPTER FOUR

Waking up to Mattheo lying next to me, a smirk on his face, propped up on his elbow was definitely not what I had expected.

"Merlin, oh my God, you scared me half to death," I said, clutching my chest. "What are you doing here?" I asked quickly.

"Guess what I got you," he smiles. "Ooh, what?" I sit up quickly, maybe a little too quickly because I get a little lightheaded.

He pulls out a small box from behind his back. It was black with a gold ribbon around it. I quickly undid it and opened the box, removing the little sheet that was covering the item.

Oh my God! They were cute earrings with green sapphire gemstone in the middle. "Awe, these are so cute," I squealed, hugging him.

"Wear them at the party tomorrow night," he said. "Ooh, perfect," I said to him, "so what do you want to do today?" I smiled.

"Well, you need a dress to go with the earrings, correct?" He asked. "Wanna go shopping?" he questioned with a smile.

"Ooh, YESSS," I say, getting up quickly. "Nice pajamas, princess," he smirks. I look down at myself. "Why thank you." I walk into the closet and change into some jeans and a plain pink shirt.

"Ready!" I practically scream. I skip to the door and open it, just for my face to be in a chest. I back up and look up. "Oh, are you coming with us?" I smile at Tom.

"Yes, I am," Tom says, looking down at me. "Okay, well come on you two," she skips down the hallway.

A little later, they are at the shops walking around when they find a dress shop. Tom had wandered off inside. It had men's stuff inside. I, however, was too busy petting the cat outside.

I stopped petting it and Mattheo also walked in. I walked over to the dress area, Mattheo behind me.

I tried on a few dresses and did a little fashion show, that is until I found the most perfect dress ever.

I found a green silky dress. It was short, barely reaching the middle of the thigh. It was perfect and would match my new earrings completely.

"That's a little short, princess," Mattheo says, looking at it. "That's the point, it's a party after all, loser," I said with a smile.

I walked to the jewelry, a matching necklace and bracelet on the stand. "Oh, these are perfect," I said, looking at them. I picked them up and walked to the cashier to check out.

She checked it out, and I paid for it. We made our way over to where Tom was looking at ties. "Oh, are these for your very formal party outfit?" I smirk. "Yes," he says, grabbing a plain black one and a green one.

There was a pink one. I grabbed it. "Can you buy this for me?" I gave him puppy dog eyes. "Fine," he says back.

Yes, I did have money, but like I just checked out, it would feel weird buying another thing five seconds after. Tom grabbed the tie and checked out.

For the rest of the day, we just walked around looking at stuff. I ended up getting another stuffed animal; it was a giraffe. I also got a new outfit for Mr. Sparklers, my stuffed dog.

It was a little short, that said "Pink Pony Girl" with a pink pony in the middle. It was adorable.

We didn't get back to the castle until dinner time. We put all the bought stuff in our rooms and then headed down to dinner.

I sat down, and we all sat in the order we normally sit. I ate my food at a normal pace as everyone ate.

I wanted to pass out the second my head hit the pillow. My ankle hurts really bad, but I didn't show it. Once dinner was done, I walked back up to my room, changing into princess pajamas.

I put the shirt on Mr. Sparklers and set the giraffe next to him. I snuggled with both of them as my eyes closed, and I fell asleep quickly.
