Song: Party Like a Millionaire by the Millionaires
(Sept 7, 2024)
Eva pulled up to Geoff's parents house, music and lights blasting from inside. "Everyone out!" she said. Noah, Owen, Kitty, Izzy, Sierra, and Brick all pile out of the car, gasping for air after being so crammed in there. Izzy, Brick, and Eva started planning their entrance, Izzy needed something dramatic and neither Brick nor Eva went to the school. Noah walked over to Trent's car, windows tinted like those sunglasses he always wore. He knocked on the door, and a few seconds later the window rolled down.
"Hey man!" Trent said, his body oddly twisted to face Noah as he was laying on his back with Cody on top of him.
"Are you two going to just make-out in your car the whole time." Noah asked blankly
"Haha, no!" Cody nervously laughed, "we were just about to head inside!"
"Mmhm." Noah said, turning and walking away from the car.
He led the pack of teenagers inside and headed directly for the couch. He glanced at the couples making out on the couch with disgust and gingerly sat down and opened his book. The door to the house slammed shut and then slammed open in again as Izzy's entrance. She marched into the room, grabbed someones red Solo cup, and plopped down on the floor making chains out of popcorn.
Geoff took a look at her a laughed to himself, welcoming the rest of the party inside.
"Hey dudes! We've got drinks over there, games over there, and a pool in the back! Have fun bros!"
Kitty and Sierra immediately ran to the pool to see what was going on outside, they were both so eager for gossip and stories for the up and coming newspaper. Brick and Eva found Izzy and stood next to her as she sang one lyric from Karma Chameleon over and over. Owen walked over to Noah and sat down, the couch folding in a bit to keep him up.
As Cody and Trent walked inside, Trent waved to Geoff and Brody who were hanging out by the drinks table and led Cody over to his friends.
"Yeah, I just don't need her constantly on my ass about like literally everything, like c'mo-" Heather was saying when the two walked over, but interrupted herself, "Hi Cody, hi Trent."
"Hey guys!" Cody said. Heather went back to talking about whatever random stuff she got heated about today and Cody awkwardly stood there, looking around. He never felt that included with his boyfriend's friends. He would much rather it just be them or be with his friends but he was too nervous to ask so he ended up just waving to Harold and Noah from across some room.
Cody caught Noah staring at him from above his book and waved, Noah immediately directed his eyes down towards the book and gave a small wave.

On the other side of the room, Gwen and Courtney were chatting it up about student council's and leadership roles.
"Honestly leadership is so overrated but I don't need someone like Heather in office right now," Gwen said, "She is so unbearable and would make the school an absolute hell."
"You're so right, like she and I are good friends but I've heard some of her ideas for the school and they are god-awful." Courtney said, reciprocating Gwen's feelings, "She's like a quarter of the reason I'm running for student council president. Hopefully she'll be too wrapped up in her own thoughts to try that hard."
"Literally though." Gwen nodded.
"Hello ladies," said some freshman wearing a green hat, pointing finger-guns at them, and then immediately tripped over his own shoes.
"Shawn!" said some tall lady with an Australian accent, "Are you alright?!"
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine." he said, brushing it off.
"Are you sure? Here let me help you up!"
Gwen and Courtney rolled their eyes at the young love blossoming in front of their eyes.

"So, that's what I'm saying man, he would have like totally won if he was like "yeah brah, I'm so chill", but he wasn't like that. Instead he was like "yeah dude, I'm so totally high right now," y'know?" Geoff said, deeply engrossed in conversation with Brody about some surfer.
"Yeah dude, I totally agree. He should have kept his stance but he didn't. Tots should have been-", While Brody was talking Bridgette walked up the two and tapped Geoff on the shoulder. He turned to face her and they started making out. Brody stopped talking, not trying to get Geoff's attention to shift back towards him. He stood there as the couple continued making out. Geoff broke the kiss after a few more minutes and faced Brody, Bridgette leaning against his chest.
"What were you saying man?" he asked
"Uh, I can't remember."

Back at the couch Noah was sitting at, the couple had left and was replaced by a large mountain of snacks that Owen had brought over. He was scarfing down food as Noah peered over his book at Cody, checking to see what he was up to. Some pale haired girl sat down on the couch as far away from the greasy food as she could and looked around the room. Her eyes settled on a ginger standing next to the punchbowl with a bunch of jocks. A millisecond after she looked at him, he glanced at her. Almost as if she predicted it. He sneered and pointed at her, telling his friends to do the same. One particular one of them slightly laughed at her but felt the urge to go over and talk to her.
"Hey girl," he said, "what's your name?"
"My name is Dawn, what's yours?" she said in a very light voice
"I'm the Sha-Lightning!" he exclaimed
"Why that's a very interesting name," Dawn commented
"Hey, can I sit next to you?" Lightning asked
"Of course!" she said, moving over.

Gwen and Courtney went over to join the group of Heather and her friends. Heather was still complaining about the same thing she was earlier. And she wasn't even close to done. "Oh hey Gwen..and Courtney" she said and then went back to talking about the same thing.
"Hey dudes!" Geoff announced, standing on top of a table, "my mom's coming home in 30 minutes. Get your butts out of here!"
