Jordan hated when Dia had to leave for business. Ever since they had gained his body back, it seemed that Dia was always gone. Personally, he liked it when Dia was just a spirit, because he would stay with Jordan throughout the night, and calm him down when he had nightmares.

Jordan was staring to lose sleep now. The nightmares were staring to come back strong. His Lady's death. Andor leaving. Capsize's revival then death. And the occasional death of one of his friends.

He would walk around, zombie-like, during the day, wishing that Dia was there the previous night to get him back to sleep. It was annoying, to say the least. He would start dozing off during the day, and during meetings.

Martha had called everyone to her house, to discuss how they should deal with the new World Historian figure.

It felt like she was lecturing them. And Jordan, like any young adult with very limited sleep, stared dozing off during the meeting. No one noticed him, as he was sitting in the back, until he had a nightmare.

It started with twitching here and there, but he ended up falling out of his chair due to rolling in a fit of panic and fear.

Martha paused her discussion. "Sparklez, are you alright?"

When he didn't answer, they all grew increasingly worried. They noticed that he has stopped his tossing and turning, but now he was screaming, crying, and kept muttering "I'm sorry".

Martha shook her head sadly. "I'm afraid he's having a nightmare. There's not much we can do for him."

"Well, is there anything we can do?" Tucker said, upset for his Blood Magic apprentice.

"We could always call Dianite. I'm sure he'll be able to help Sparklez," Sonja added in quietly.

"I can call him," Tom replied, as he took out his communicator. He quickly typed a message for Dianite to come to Martha's house for an issue.

Within minutes, the god showed up. He looked around, expecting everything to be on fire. He was met with several saddened faces, laced with worry.

Tom, noticing that Dianite had yet to see the problem, pointed toward Jordan.

Dianite flicked his eyes toward his lover, and seen his shaking and crying form. He quickly rushed over, and took Jordan into his arms.

After muttering a few calming words, and stroking his hair, Dianite had gotten Jordan to calm down. Only a few tears were left running down his face.

Picking his lover up, Dianite turned around to anxious faces.

"What the hell was wrong with him?" Tom burst out.

"He gets really bad nightmares of his past. They're terribly depressing, all of people dying. I've watched a few of them before," and with that, Dianite flew towards the Fortress of Fury.

When he arrived at the towers, he instantly put Jordan into his bed. Dianite stripped off his business suit, and changed into a pair of shorts and a regular shirt. Pushing the covers aside, he got into bed with his love.

Jordan eyes fluttered open. He noticed Dianite was in his bed with him.

"D-Dia?"

"Yes, Glitter-lap?"

"You're finally back? I've missed you so much," Jordan started tearing up.

"Y-yeah. I'm back. I'm really sorry, by the way." Dianite started to wipe away Jordan's tears.

"What are you sorry for? You haven't done anything wrong." He laced his fingers with Dia's and enjoyed the warmth.

"I'm sorry that I've been gone so long. I'm sorry that I haven't been able to help you with this. I'm sorry for not being a better partner."

"It's alright, Dia. You're here now, that's what matters," he said, as he yawned. His eyes started to droop shut, before they finally closed.

Dia wrapped his arms around Jordan's waist, and cuddled with him. He felt Jordan scoot closer, clinging to the warmth.

He leaned over and kissed his lover's head.
"I love you, my little Sparkle," as he fell asleep, cuddling with Jordan.

Jordan fell asleep happy that night, and for once in the last month, he didn't have a nightmare. He dreamed of flying on Dagron's back while touching the clouds with Dia.

Yeah, I wrote this at 11 at night. I was in a car, and I was really tired, so this came about.

This was inspired by Vanilla Twilight by Owl City.
