Today was the day that Makiya was leaving to go back to New Orleans, she really couldn't miss school any longer even tho she was digital for the time she was in north carolina
"To be real i don't even wanna leave" She said while packing up her suitcase
"Ion want you to, i missed having my la sister around" Malakai said too helping her
"Being away from the city gave me a peace of mind like deadass, i loved it and thanks for having me kai" She said walking around the bed to give her brother a hug
"Ain't shit Kiya, just come back whenever you want to. Ian going nowhere no time soon" Malakai said in response
After finishing her packing her flight was set to leave the next couple hours so they drive to the airport
Arriving Malakai noticed how busy it was so he asked if she was good being here by herself
"Yea i'm straight, just promise me you gon tat me when i come back for real. Refuse to have anybody from the city do my shit" She said chuckling and grabbing her suitcase and purse out the car
"Duh nigga, if i said i got you then i got you" He said playfully mugging her
"Okay for sure, and tell Nai it was nice meeting her and i'll see her soon please" She said as well
After saying their goodbyes Malakai drove back to his house to do some cleaning before he had the guys come over for a little chit chat

"Girl i literally said i don't wanna watch this" Naiari told Alaya because they decided to do a movie night being that they missed each other
"Bitch okay fine, we need to pick something we both agree on" Alaya said turning off the movie and going through netflix
Once they picked a movie it wasn't even a full 20 minutes before they indulged in a conversation
"I don't know i'm starting to like him and it's scaring me, i wanna crawl back in my hole" Naiari said thinking about Malakai
"It's okay that you like him, you are a grown ass woman with feelings and it just so happened that a man came through and brought it out of you" Alaya said giving her friend some positivity
"Something is off about him tho" Naiari said looking over her
"Bitch he kill people?" Alaya asked with wide eyes
"Girl no he do not" Naiari said chucking at her friends antics
"Bitch fuck around all that giggling and shit, i love my life" Alaya said shaking her head
"He do not kill people Alaya, you are okay. I am okay" Naiari said fully laughing cause she was genuinely concerned
Alaya nodded and took a bite of her twix bar, "So what's off about him?"
"What's off is that our emotions are so identical, and it's scary cause how is it that i meet someone that feels exactly how i feel about life?" She said speaking to herself more than to Alaya
"I'm not sure but i'm happy you found someone that shares the same feelings as you, you can express them with him right" Alaya asked
Naiari thought back to their conversation they had the other night in his bed , "Yea i can, so easily too"
"That's how it's supposed to be, don't question or doubt it's a coincidence because self sabotage happens that way" Alaya said informing her friend
After talking a little more they finished their movie and soon went to sleep in each others arms

Now that Makiya was back at home she got back in the groove of her routine
Since she's been home she's been cleaning up being that she left her room a mess when she left
Receiving a call to her phone she checked and seen that js was her boyfriend Tae calling her, contemplating if she should answer she eventually did
"Makiya" He said with his voice booming through the phone
"Yea tae?" She said in response confused on what he was about to say
Things have been rocky between them lately being that she was still in high school and he was a freshman in college. Nothing was compatible anymore
"You home?" He asked
"Yea i've been gone for a minute, why?" she said in response
"Ight i'll let you know when i'm outside" He said then hung up without letting her get a word in
Being that he was 4 hours away she figured that he was back home in the city for the weekend to visit family
She rolled her eyes with a disgusted look before dropping her phone and getting back to what she was doing
A couple hours later she did indeed receive that text letting her know that he was outside, so she went
Seeing his black Audi parked in front of her house she got nervous about seeing him since she haven't in a while
Getting in the car she instantly noticed a girls lip gloss on the dashboard and him noticing that she noticed he quickly grabbed it and threw it outside
She didn't do anything but kept a mental note in her head
"Don't be like that, that shit ain nun. Probably my homegirl shit" Tae said looking over at her
"I didn't say anything" She said in response looking around the car for any other signs of weird shit to bring up later
"I miss you girl " He said pulling her in for a cheek kiss
"I miss you too, is everything okay with us?" she asked pulling him in for a hug
Truth be told Makiya was always vulnerable when it came to tae being that she has been messing around with him since she was 14
"Yea we straight baby, you know i love you with everything in me" He said admiring her with pity
Being that Tae was in college he felt that it wasn't necessary to be loyal to Makiya. So it was him either hanging with girls in their dorm and they were in his his
"Okay, i love you too " she said admiring him wondering why she loved him and felt the need to do anything for him
