Raghav Malhotra’s office was a blend of modern sophistication and old-world charm, its expansive glass windows offering a panoramic view of the city’s skyline. The room was meticulously arranged, reflecting his high standards and the importance he placed on every detail of his business. As the owner of Crescent Heights Hotel, Raghav was known for his commanding presence and sharp business acumen. His tailored suit and the confident stride with which he entered his office were testaments to his success.

He started his day with a series of meetings, discussing everything from event planning to guest services. His assistant, Priya, was already at her desk, her fingers moving swiftly over her keyboard. She looked up as Raghav entered, her face a mask of professionalism.

“Good morning, Mr. Malhotra. We have several meetings lined up today, and there’s a matter you need to review regarding the recent guest complaints.”

Raghav nodded, taking the file she handed him. As he flipped through the pages, noting the issues raised by guests, he maintained a look of concentration. “Make sure the maintenance team addresses these issues immediately. We cannot afford any slip-ups, especially with the high-profile events coming up.”

Priya acknowledged his instructions with a nod and returned to her tasks. Raghav’s day continued in a blur of meetings, calls, and decision-making. Each interaction was marked by his focus and efficiency. He was in his element, ensuring that everything from the gala preparations to the day-to-day operations of the hotel went smoothly.

Around noon, as he was engrossed in a meeting about an upcoming charity gala, his phone buzzed with a notification. He glanced at the screen and saw an alert from the hotel’s security team. Ananya Sharma’s name was highlighted in the message. The brief note read: “Guest Ananya Sharma has requested access to the archives. Background check indicates possible link to previous incidents.”

Raghav’s curiosity was piqued. He was unfamiliar with Ananya Sharma and found it unusual that she had requested access to the hotel’s archives. Given the high standards he set for himself and his hotel, any unusual behavior by guests was a cause for concern.

After the meeting, Raghav decided to visit the security office. The room was lined with monitors displaying various parts of the hotel. Rajiv, the head of security, greeted him.

“Raghav, how can I assist you?” Rajiv asked, his tone respectful.

“I received a notification about a guest named Ananya Sharma. She’s been accessing the archives. Can you provide more details?” Raghav inquired.

Rajiv pulled up a file on his computer and handed it to Raghav. “Ananya Sharma arrived yesterday. She’s registered as a guest for an indefinite stay. According to our records, she has a connection to a previous incident involving her fiancé, Raj Patel.”

Raghav’s interest was immediately captured. “Raj Patel? Wasn’t he the one who fell from the balcony two years ago?”

“Yes, that’s correct,” Rajiv confirmed. “Ananya has been discreet in her dealings with the staff. Her request for the archives is unusual, but there hasn’t been any other direct inquiry.”

Raghav considered this information carefully. The incident involving Raj Patel had been a highly publicized case, and the hotel had faced significant scrutiny as a result. Though Raghav had managed to maintain the hotel’s reputation, the fact that Ananya Sharma was now staying at the Crescent Heights and investigating the archives was something he needed to monitor closely.

“Keep an eye on her activities,” Raghav instructed. “I want to know if she makes any moves that could impact the hotel’s reputation.”

Later that evening, Raghav decided to visit Ananya’s room. He wanted to assess her intentions firsthand and understand why she had chosen this hotel to investigate her fiancé’s death. He made his way to her floor, his footsteps echoing in the quiet corridor. When he reached her door, he hesitated for a moment before knocking.

Ananya answered the door, her expression a mix of surprise and caution. “Yes?”

“I’m Raghav Malhotra, the owner of this hotel,” he said, introducing himself. “I wanted to personally welcome you and see if there’s anything you need during your stay.”

Ananya’s eyes widened slightly, but she quickly composed herself. “Thank you, Mr. Malhotra. I appreciate the gesture, but I’m fine for now.”

Raghav studied her for a moment. “If there’s anything at all, please let me know. I’m here to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible.”

“Of course,” Ananya replied, her tone steady.

As Raghav turned to leave, he couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to Ananya’s visit than met the eye. He needed to learn more about her intentions and why she had chosen to stay at the Crescent Heights.

Back in his office, Raghav reviewed the file on Ananya Sharma. Her background, her connection to Raj Patel, and her recent activities at the hotel were all carefully noted. Raghav knew that understanding her motivations was crucial. The Crescent Heights Hotel had always been a place of luxury and success, but it seemed that, once again, shadows from the past were beginning to stir.

The phone rang, pulling Raghav from his thoughts. It was Priya.

“Mr. Malhotra, there’s been a small issue with one of the high-profile guests. They’ve requested a specific suite that’s currently occupied,” Priya explained.

Raghav sighed, knowing that managing the hotel’s operations required constant attention. “I’ll handle it. Just make sure the guest is informed of the situation and offer them an alternative.”

As he dealt with the issue, his thoughts kept drifting back to Ananya Sharma. There was something about her that unsettled him—a mystery he was determined to unravel. The Crescent Heights Hotel had always been a beacon of elegance and success, but with Ananya’s arrival, it seemed that old secrets were beginning to resurface.
