"Doctor Hae, its an emergency", a nurse says as she barges into Haeyeon's room. Haeyeon nods and grabs her coat wearing it in a hurry and immediately running to the emergency room where the patient is.
"Take her to surgery room immediately. We need to perform a surgery on him immediately", Haeyeon says as her attention turns to the young girl sobbing seeing the old man's unconscious body.
"What is your relation to him?", Haeyeon asks the girl who look at Hae with red eyes and opens her mouth to speak but no words come out. Haeyeon grabs the girl gently by her shoulders and takes her to sit on a chair.
"It's gonna be alright. Stay strong and hope for the best", she speaks as she pats the girls head for a bit and passes her a sweet smile before getting up and running to the surgery room.
"Any signs of internal bleeding?", she asks the nurse who shakes her head.
"Cardiac arrest", Haeyeon says as she checks the man's impulse and takes a deep breathe before starting the surgery.
.....
"Phew", Haeyeon says as she grabs a cup of coffee and leans on the wall behind her. The surgery had been successful and Haeyeon was now taking a quick coffee break.
"Went well?", Hayden speaks behind her as Haeyeon almost drops her coffee startled and turns to pass him a glare.
"I'm already tired enough Hayde", Hae says to him.
"Okay okay. Sheesh. You and Asha are both exactly same huh", Hayden says as he also leans on the wall standing beside Haeyeon.
"What do you want?", Haeyeon asks him annoyed.
"Nothing. Hehe", he says giggling making Haeyeon frown.
"What did Asha even see in you?", Haeyeon says and before she could receive a response, her phone rings. She picks it up and sees that it's her mother.
"Yes mom", she says as she answers the call.
"YOU DO REMEMBER THE DINNER TONIGHT RIGHT?", her mother asks shouting from the other side. Haeyeon takes the phone away from her ear and takes a deep breath before answering her mother.
"Wh-what dinner?", she asks in a low voice.
"DINNER WITH CHOI FAMILY", her mother reminds her still shouting.
"Oh right. Dinner with Dad's friend and his family", Haeyeon says even though she did not remember a thing about it.
"I've sent you the location. Be there at sharp 7pm", her mother says calmly and cuts the call before Hae could argue.
"Uhh", Hae says sighing.
"You didn't remember it did you", Hayde says adding spice.
"Shut up will ya", she answers and takes a few deep breaths before turning to him.
"What to do?", she asks nervously.
"You look fine. Just be on time", Hayden answers and the worried look on Haeyeon's face leaves.
"What time is it anyway?", Hae asks as she takes a look on the clock.
"It's 5pm. You should leave at 6:30pm incase that the restaurant is far away", Hayde suggests.
"I still don't understand why we are suddenly having a dinner with dad's friend tho", Hae says and Hayden shrugs
"How am I supposed to know?", he answers.
"True", Hae answers.
