"Huh?", is all the two say as they turn to look at eachother but immediately look away.
"We decided this cause you both are now at the age of getting married", Mr. Choi says and Haeyeon opens up her mouth to say something but shuts it when her mother speaks up.
"And its not like you both have anyone you're interested in anyway",Mrs. Lee says and Haeyeon just gives up on arguing as she didn't actually mind getting married. It was true that she wasn't interested in someone so why not give this a chance.
"I'm fine with it", Beomgyu says in his calm deep voice that sent chills to Haeyeon.
"Me too", Haeyeon manages to say with shaking voice. It's not that she was against the idea but was just too intimidated by the boy infront of her. It was all too much for her to take in.
"You both will look great together and I'm sure you'll eventually fall for each other", Mrs. Choi says as she stares at the two who were lost in their thoughts.
"Now let's decide the wedding date, etc. Shall we?", Mr. Lee suggests and the mothers of the soon to be married couple squeal with excitement as they converse with eachother.
"I've heard you are a doctor, right?", Mrs. Choi asks trying to open a conversation with Haeyeon who's eyes light up at the mention of her career. She was really happy with what she was doing as she had worked really hard to achieve it. The boy who was not interested in the conversation before also looks up.
"Yes, I'm a doctor. A cardiologist", she says.
"I heard that becoming a cardiologist requires alot. You must be really hard working and intelligent", Mrs. Choi says and Haeyeon smiles widely.
"Honestly, I'm so happy with what I am. I had indeed worked really hard and now that my hard work had payed off, I can't help but just be happy with whatever I do",Haeyeon says with a sparkle in her eyes. Even a stranger could tell that she really loved her career and what he was doing with her life.
"Was this your dream?", Beomgyu asks butting in the conversation.
"Yeah. It's what I wanted to do. My parents wanted me to be a doctor and I was at first just doing what they wanted but in high school, I found interest in Bio and I really loved the heart chapter so I found out what I really wanted to be", Haeyeon answers ignoring the tingles and sparks she was feeling inside her. A conversation with the boy really felt like a dream to her.
"She's also doing psychology course", Mrs. Lee says.
"What made you do that?", Mr. Choi asks the girl.
"I've just been interested in psychology", Haeyeon answers.
"What about you son?", Mr. Lee asks Beomgyu.
"I'm taking care of buisness set by my parents", Beomgyu answers.
"I heard you were a former idol", Mrs. Lee says making Haeyeon choke on air. All the memories flashing back.
"You okay?", Mrs. Choi says handing the girl water to drink. Haeyeon takes it and chugs it down in one go.
"Yes, I used to be an idol", Beomgyu says as Haeyeon mentally screams.
