Episode 5

Arriving at the hospital gate, Saad quickly parked his car and rushed inside, towards the reception. He asked the receptionist,

Saad: "Aoa. Mein Saad Inam hoon. Meri wife, Dua Saad, yahein admitted hein?"

Receptionist: "Waoa sir. Ji aap ki wife, Dr. Dua, gynae mein hain."

Saad: "Ji thank you!"

With that, Saad sprinted towards the gynae department, finding his parents and Gulzar already present there. He walked up to and asked his mother,

 Saad: "Mama Dua kahan hai? Woh theek hai na?"

Faryal (his mother): "Ji Saad, Dua bilkul theek hai. Woh operation theatre mein hai. Thora sabr karo mere bache!"

Saad nodded and walked over to Gulzar, who was leaning against the wall. Gulzar looked up at Saad, who had a tensed expression on his face.

Gulzar: "Kya hua buddy? Sab theek hai na?"

Saad: "Nahi kuch nahi. Wasey thanks yar Dua ko itna jaldi hospital lane ke liye."

Gulzar: "Arey iss mein thanks ki kya baat hai? Woh bilkul meri behno jesi hain."

Saad passed him an appreciative smile and the two of them sat down on the chairs, in anticipation of any news.

Just when it felt like ages, a nurse walked upto Saad, with a baby in her arms, wrapped up in a blue blanket.

Nurse: "Mubarak ho Saad Sir, aap ka beta hua hai!", she said, gently handing over the baby to him.

To say that Saad was shocked would be an understatement. He stood there, dumbfounded, his baby still in his arms, when Gulzar lightly shook him out of his trance.

Gulzar: "Kuch bole ga ya nahi?"

Saad: "Mujhe yakeen nahi aaraha keh mein baap ban gaya hoon."

Gulzar: "Tou yakeen kerle kyunke tu waqai baap ban gaya hai."

Saad looked down at the baby and gently kissed his tiny head, saying," Han. yeh mera beta hai, Salar Saad!"

He looked up the nurse, who was watching the scene unfold and said,

Saad: "Meri wife kesi hai?"

Nurse: "Aap ki wife bilkul theek hain. In fact, aap chahein tou unse mil sakte hain."

Saad nodded and followed the nurse to Dua's ward room. Dua was sitting upright, a gentle smile on her lips. Saad walked up to her with Salar still in his embrace and kissed her forehead affectionately before handing Salar to her.

Saad: "Yeh dekho Dua hamara beta, hamara Salar!", he replied fondly.

Dua: "Hamara Salar!", she exclaimed with equal joy, tears streaming down her face. Saad wrapped an arm around his wife and they both lovingly gazed at their newborn son.

Soon enough, Saad's parents walked inside the room and congratulated both the new parents. Saad handed the baby to his mother and then his father, who gave the Azaan and Iqama into his grandson's ears. Dua, who was the exchange, asked Saad,

Dua: "Saad, Gulzar bhai kahan hain?"

Saad: "Bahir hai."

Dua: "Tum ne Salar ko milwaya uske Gulzar chachu se?"

Saad: "Nahi properly tou nahi. But uss ne dekh liya hai Salar ko."

Dua: "Foran jao aur 'properly' milwa ker lao."
