I told myself I’d be alright,
That I could keep living my life—
Every day, a new dawn to start anew.A sun rises, shines above us,
Stars twinkle through vast waves.
I just need to keep my thoughts running. But soon, flowers wither,
Rain pounds hard,
The breeze cuts cold,
Stars shy away,
The sun turns its face. All I hear are my thoughts
Calling your name,
Endless scenes unfurling—
When there was still us,
When I could still see you, hear you,
Breathe the same air,
Knowing that any moment
I could still reach you.My chances, a whisper—
Thunder growls,
Lightning shatters,
Earth spins a death march.Silence...
Silence...
Blinding silence...Heartbeats in a waltz,
Sight frays,
Hands tremble.I run with my thoughts,
But everywhere, it rains—
Breath caught,
The air thick, strangling. They said time heals,
But my chest constricts with every tick—
Counting sheep,
Flying planes,
Falling into sleep,
Repeating the same cycle over again.
