"Oh, look! It feels like the sun hasn't come out in years!"

Circle leapt out of bed, startling the sleepy woman next to her.

Bloomie just couldn’t understand how Circle, the taller of the two, could always be so full of energy—especially after the incident.

The incident.

"Bloomie? Don’t you want to look outside?"

Circle turned around, a slightly confused look on her face.

"Uh... not right now, I'm just a bit tired..."

Circle didn't seem to accept that answer.

"You look sad," she pointed out bluntly.

"No, you are sad," she muttered, pouting as she climbed back into bed with Bloomie.

"No, really, Circle... I just haven't properly woken up ye—H-Hey!"

The shorter woman squealed in surprise as her girlfriend suddenly pulled her into a hug, having almost forgotten how unpredictable Circle could be when she hadn’t taken her medication.

Bloomie realized there was no point in arguing with Circle's persistence, so she let out a tired sigh instead.

When the hug didn’t seem to cheer Bloomie up, Circle came up with another idea. She grabbed her phone from the bedside table and began typing away furiously.

"Ooooh! We’re going to get ready and go out to eat! That’ll cheer you up!"

Bloomie groaned.

"I was planning to just stay in bed today..."

"Nuh-uh, no you don't. You can’t just be all gloomy and mopey all the time. We’re going out!"

Once again, Bloomie was cut off before she could finish.

"Please, hon, I really don’t have the mental energy to deal with anyone but you right now..." Bloomie groaned, burying her face into her pillow. She should have known better—Circle would go to great lengths to make her happy. It was cute, but exhausting.

Though it had been a while since she’d gone out, and in the past few days, Circle had become increasingly worried and upset about her... The last thing she wanted was for Circle to have a breakdown, thinking she wasn’t a good enough girlfriend for not making Bloomie happy.

"Alright, alright, you win. We can go out to eat today. As long as it’s a quiet place, and you’re paying."

Circle seemed content with that, still not looking up from her phone.

"O-kayy... Thavel is coming with us."

"Mmh."

Bloomie just nodded, trying to relax into the mattress—until the blanket was ripped off her.

"What the hell?!"

She squealed, curling into a ball to preserve what little warmth she had left as she shivered.

"No more sleep. We're leaving in an hour."

Circle picked Bloomie up from the bed.

"But I'm sooo tiiired..."

Bloomie whined, but her girlfriend ignored her.

"Ugh, can you at least take your meds before we start getting ready?"

Circle nodded with a hum.

By the time Bloomie got a break, it was 5 p.m., and she was in the bathroom of a boba tea shop (Do those even exist?).
