A year goes by and it's now June 21st 1982, and Kensington Palace just announced the surprising birth of the royal twins Prince William and Princess Kathryn, the babies name unknown to the public. Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, were all in Kensington Palace announcing the birth of the twins. The press was outside the Palace anxiously waiting to find out the names and their sexes. The whole world was interested to learn more about the twin children of the future King of the Untied Kingdom. The media and the public were all eager to learn more about the new addition to the Royal Family. Inside the Palace, the Queen, Prince Charles and Princess Diana were all gathered together, discussing the details of the announced births of the twins to the world. Charles and Diana were both holding one twin each, beaming with pride and joy at the sight of their newborn children. Princess Diana then spoke up with a name for their daughter, "how does 'Kathryn Charlotte Elizabeth Diana May' sound for a full name?" Charles thought about it for a moment before smiling. The name had a strong and regal ring to it. Prince Charles loved the name and then spoke up "I quite like it, actually. It's got a nice ring to it. But what about our son?"Princess Diana pondered for a moment, considering different options. Then she came up with an idea and said "Hmmm, how about 'William Arthur Philip Louis Charles'? It honours both our families and some of the strong male names in our lineage." Charles nodded, impressed with the choice. The name had history and significance, aligning with the tradition of honouring their ancestors and royal heritage. Prince Charles then replied "That's splendid Di. I think we've chosen some strong and meaningful names. The public will be pleased to hear them." The Queen who had been listening to the discussion, chimed in with her approval. "Excellent choices, Charles, Diana. You've done well in selecting names that honour tradition and the strength of our family lineage." As they looked down at their newborn twins, Charles and Diana couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with pride and love. They were now the parents of not just one, but two children, both of them holding the weight of the future of the Royal Family and the entire country on their tiny shoulders. Time eventually passes and it was now September 15th 1984, William and Kathryn are now two years old and Diana just gave birth to another son Prince Harry, which sadly meant that Kathryn would move from third in line to the throne to fourth in line the throne because of male primogeniture, Kathryn now falls behind Harry in the line of succession because she is a girl. Charles and Diana were overjoyed with the arrival of their new son, Harry. However, there was a bittersweet feeling to the birth as well. With Harry's arrival, little Kathryn had now fallen behind in the line of succession due to the rules of male primogeniture, which prioritises male heirs over female heirs in the line of succession. Charles and Diana were saddened by this, know that their daughter's position in the royal line had been diminished due to her gender.
