[Narrator POV]
"...and that's basically it." Ford said finishing the entire story(leaving out his very depressed state, the bath, and the fact that he gave Bill his bed... for reasons still unknown). Wendy had started to relax when Ford explained their first interaction, Pacifica was practically staring at Bill the entire time, her expressions changing as the story continued. Bill was basically just looking down the entire time sometimes glancing up to accidentally lock eye contact with Wendy or Pacifica, only to look back down immediately.
"Alright..." Wendy said breaking the silence. "I still don't understand why you brought him back here." She said glaring at Bill, in return, he gave a very guilty and fearful expression before looking away.
"Wendy if I didn't bring him back he would've died."
"So? He's a complete psycho!" She said, standing quickly and pushing her chair back. "He's probably manipulating you right now! I thought you were supposed to be the 'expert' on Bill!"
"Wendy I was cautious, he ended up saying something that dropped almost all of my suspicions."
"Seriously? There is nothing he could say that should do that!"
"Yea... Stanford I get you didn't just want to leave him out there alone, but he should be fine on his own now." Pacifica added to the conversation.
"I'm sorry..." Bill said, shocking both Pacifica and Wendy causing them to look at him. "I uh.. I don't remember what I did to this town, but I hope I can eventually make it right..." He continued looking to Ford.
"Fine, you're right, I never would've expected that from him." Wendy said rubbing her eyes and calming down. "But that doesn't mean he's innocent." She said crossing her arms. "I'm not forgiving him."
"I'm not asking you to, I'm just asking you to keep this a secret." Ford said looking to Bill. "You should probably head out for this part." Bill nodded and made his way out of the room and upstairs. Ford sighed.
"Why'd he need to leave?" Pacifica asked very puzzled.
"I'm not 100% sure what happened before I ran into him, but I know he was terrified and hurt."
"Hurt?" Wendy and Pacifica asked in unison.
"I don't know who hurt him, but I'm pretty sure at least one of his wounds was from someone in your family Wendy."
"What?" Wendy was now very confused. "I mean I'm sure any of us would've attacked him.. but..."
"But what?" Pacifica added.
"None of them said anything about hitting someone, let alone Bill."
"Do you always share stuff like that?" Ford inquired.
"I mean not all the time cuz' it's mostly just squirrels and shit." Wendy continued scratching her head. "If it was one of them though, they would've brought it up."
"Strange." Ford whispered to himself. "Do you know anyone else it could be? Bill was sure it was a lumberjack."
"No.. I mean there's not really any other lumberjacks in this town." Pacifica nodded.
"Yea, there's not really anyone else here who does anything like that." Pacifica stated.
"Odd.. I'll ask him about it." Ford replied.
"You should probably ask about other things too.." Pacifica added. "Like Dipper or Mabel."
"Or maybe his past." Wendy said sitting down again. Ford was surprised he hadn't thought of that. Out of every question that came from his and Bill's 'friendship', Bill's past was never brought up.
"Would he even remember his past? If his past is what -most likely- made him the way he is, he probably doesn't remember it." Pacifica stated.
"I'll ask him about all of that too. Is there anything else I should ask about?"
The three of them conversed for a little while longer, the only thing they could decide was important was discussing Bill's friends from Weirdmageddon. Eventually Wendy and Pacifica left and Ford was left to question Bill on whatever ever else he could be hiding.
(A/N) Sorry for the short chapter 😭 I didn't want this to be part of the last one cause I liked the cliffhanger I gave it, but I also have a way I wanted to start the next like 'section' sooooo here is your short chapter :D
