Katherine didn't even leave Carl's side all night. Not even when everyone else was taking turns keeping watch over the camp. But Katherine liked that. She got to keep an eye on the children in the RV alongside Carol and Mrs. Morales.
The children slept in Dale's bed. Katherine kept her eyes on Amy and Andrea the entire night. At first, she wanted to go over to Andrea and say something, but she didn't even know what to say. Her sister had gotten bit and was on the verge of turning.
“How is he?” Lori asked as the woman climbed into the RV getting Katherine’s attention.
“Finally got him to sleep. “ Katherine answered. She was feeling tired herself, but she didn't let it show.
“Thank you for keeping an eye on him.” Lori told her Katherine could tell that the woman was petrified from last night's event. All the women and children were.
“It's not a problem.” said Katherine.
“I can stay here and keep an eye on him if you wanna get something to eat.” Lori said, causing Katherine to finally get up and walk out of the RV, cautiously looking over at Andrea and Amy before making her way towards the others.
She stopped and helped T-Dog and Glenn carrying a dead one to the fire after watching them struggle for a bit, doing her best to ignore the smell. The women then walked over to where Rick and the others were. Overhearing their conversation.
“The dead girl's a time bomb.” declared Daryl.
“What do you suggest?” Rick asked.
“Take the shot. Clean in the brain from here. Hell,I can't hit a turkey between the eyes from this distance.” announced Daryl.
“No!” announced Katherine, causing the men to turn their heads at her. “For God's sake, leave her be.” She demanded only for Daryl to scoff and walk away, blaming them for last night's attack.
It wasn't until Jacqui had announced that Jim had gotten bit did the group begin to panic. Even though Jim put up a small fight, it wasn't until T-dog managed to come up behind him and grabbed him. Giving Daryl the chance to lift up Jim’s shirt revealing the bite.
“I'm okay! I’m okay!” Jim repeated.

Now, the group was circling around away from Jim. They were trying to figure out what the hell they were supposed to do now.
“I say we put a pickaxe in his head and the dead girl's too and be done with it.” announced Daryl. As much as Katherine thought he was right, she knew it wasn't the right way to go about it.
“Is that what you’d want if it were you?” Shane asked.
“Yeah, I'd thank you while you were doing it. “ Daryl declared.
“I hate to say it, but I believe Daryl could be right.” Said Dale while everyone else tried to figure out what to do.
“What if we got him help? I heard the CDC was working on a cure.” declared Rick.
“I heard that too. Heard a lot of things before the world went to hell. “replied Shane.
“What if the CDC is still up and running?” Thought Rick.
“Man, that is a stretch right there.” answered Shane.
“Why?” Kagherine asked before she knew it. The mention of Fort Benning was a possibility.
“Get some aspirin. Do what you have to. Someone needs to have the balls to take care of this problem!” Declared Daryl as he rushed over towards Jim with his pickaxe, but Rick stopped him by pointing his gun at him. Katherine joined him and stood in front of Jim protectively folding her arms.
