By morning, Katherine was one of the few people to have gotten up first surprisingly, normally after a few drinks, it would take her until noon to wake up.

She quickly took a shower to avoid smelling like the bottle she had gulped down last night. After she had finished getting dressed, she had made her way out of the showers. Stumbling when she ran into someone.

Daryl.

He glared slightly at her as he then made his way down the hall. Probably to join the others for breakfast.

“Hey. Can we talk about last night?” Katherine asked, her sentence slurred a little.

“About what? “ Daryl asked in between a puff.

“What you saw or might have heard?” Katherine reminded him. The last thing she needed was the others knowing her past and not her past with alcohol either.  

“What do you mean? I couldn't get a peep out of you all night.” Daryl claimed. “Now quit following me. I still hadn't forgotten your brother tried to kill me twice.” he growled before speed walking away.

Katherine didn't click on what Daryl just said, but when she did, she couldn't help  but smile slightly before taking a different way to the kitchen.

“Morning.” Everyone had a greeting. Rick,Dr. Jenner and Shane weren't there yet.

Good. I'm not the last one. Katherine thought to herself. She looked over at Lori, who seemed to be very quiet. It wasn't her normal self.

“You okay?” She whispered to her in-law after taking a plate of powdered eggs from T-Dog. Lori only nodded solemnly, which wasn't Katherine's liking.

I'll pull her aside later. Katherine thought to herself as she then sat down next to Carl, but not before ruffling his hair and giving him a kiss on the head.

Rick soon joined them. “Morning.” Everyone else greeted him.

“You hung over?” Carl asked his dad with big eyes. “Mom said you'd be,” he added.

“Mom's right.” claimed Rick as he sat down slowly next to Lori. Katherine couldn't help but give Rick a sheepish smile. If her body language wasn't showing it, her eyes would.

“Mom has the annoying habit of that. “ Lori chuckled softly.

“Eggs!” Sang T-dog as he went around, making sure everybody had some. “ powered. But I made them good. “ he claimed.

Katherine looked over at Glenn, who was groaning in agony,clearly hung over. “Never let me drink again.” Glenn declared as Jaqui comforted him.

“Protein helps the hangover. “ T-dog exclaimed as he poured more eggs onto Glenn's plate.

Katherine watched as Lori then helped Rock open  a bottle of piles from Jenner and opened them to give to him and then secretly handed her a small amount underneath the table. Everyone's attention turned to Shane, who was one of the last people to arrive, but Katherine noticed some scratch marks on his neck.

“Must have done it in my sleep.” declared Shane as he and Lori exchanged a small look at each other. Katherine felt tension between them, and it wasn't the normal

Katherine then leaned back and tugged on Lori’s shirt, getting her attention. “You sure you're okay?” She whispered slightly to her only to get a nod from the woman, but it wasn't the answer she was looking for.

As soon as Dr. Jenner was in sight, Andrea and Dale were already on him for answers on what was causing the virus, but Dr. Jenner was kind enough to lead them back to the lab and showed them a scan of someone's  brain.
