For the first time, I had never been in the city before. It wasn't like the forest that we had left for years. The world outside was huge, filled with buildings and so many human beings. I was completely scared of entering a huge city, my heart is racing very fast and my sisters are as well. Manako was clinging to Tomoka and will not stop shaking. Reika startled by the loud movers that made her jump and Rin covered herself into my jacket pocket to block away the noise.

Well, mother said that she has never been in the city before because there are so many human beings. She learned that they fear yokai and so many spirits, but they sometimes worship them in front of shrines. Mother said that a shrine that was near the town might be a perfect place to live in because it had already been built.

"The home is abandoned but we will make it our home," said mother. I was quite confident that this home is abandoned with no furniture but this home will do for now.

For a couple days, we had to get rid of the cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, all of those pesky crawlers underneath the floor and get rid of all the other mucky odors. To get rid of all the brownish stains, we need a lot of cleaning supplies. Ikioi ventured off to find some that will clear up the stains and it did.

Manako ventured out of the backyard to pull up the weeds that were on the ground. She told us that she was going to make a garden once the house is cleaned up.

There was the upstairs room that we can sleep in. The big room would be a good suggestion for all of us to sleep in. Mother took the small room because it was just her size.

Mechchan decided to go into Dream mode, just in case she ever wakes up. We never had any furniture so mother told us that she has to find a job she is good at and we need to find food, somewhere in the sea, somewhere the shrines [people sometimes gave food to please the gods, like us spirits] and somewhere where there is stored rations.

"I bet it is time that we go venture outside, right?" I asked mother.

"No," she answered. "It is quite dangerous that you girls lack the maturity to use your powers. You are far too young."

"But we can't stay here forever," protested Tomoka. "You did try to protect us all these years."

"You had said all humans used to be bad," Manako replied, even Reika had a point.

"And most of all, we couldn't keep hiding in the house forever," I finished.

Our mother stared us but our pleading look was much more desperate. She let out a sigh.

"Okay," she sighed. "You girls can go tonight."

We were quite relieved and excited to go on our first journey in the city. It was unlike our home but there is going to be a lot of humans that they will be afraid of.

"It is going to be dangerous," she said. "Use your brooches to become human during the day, and while at night, become mutants."

I started to take the lead at nighttime, with my sisters following suit. Rin Myu flew by my side, with complete worry of what was gonna happen. "I have to tell you, humans can't see me," she said.

"I know," Manako said. "You are a spirit and spirits are invisible to a human's eyes."

"There could be one if a human believes in spirits," Tomoka said. We braced myself and then I opened the door to the human world.

We began to look around the new world around us, not believing this was unlike our home. There were so many buildings, live humans and a huge building we guessed it was a school. Imagine what it was like to be accepted as normal teenagers, but we had to stick into the shadows. There were so many apartments looked so small and the park was quite nice, and there are thousands of humans filling the streets. I thought it would be peaceful but this was very lively.
