(A few hours have passed since True and Grizelda were placed in the Maze Troll's maze. They walk around the maze, now tired and slightly annoyed.)
Grizelda: This maze is so difficult...
True: Wherever the exit is, it's gotta be around here somewhere. I'm getting tired...
Grizelda: We've looked through every path, True. The exit isn't in any of them.
(True slaps herself in the face to keep her awake, and stands and looks at Grizelda.)
True: We have to keep looking. Otherwise we won't be able to get out of here.
Grizelda: Alright, then can I take a breather for a bit? You go search for the exit. I'll just be here.
(She throws her back into a leafy wall of the maze, and slowly slumps onto the floor, exhausted. True looks at her.)
True: Oh, Grizelda...
(True shakes her head vigorously.)
True: Alright. I have to stay awake and find that exit.
(She jogs off and runs through the maze. She eventually reaches the center of the maze, with a large fountain placed in the middle of it.)
True: Come on, it's gotta be here somewhere...
(She looks around the area, trying to find a path that will hopefully lead her in the right direction. Her eyes then catch a small glimmering light. She glances in the light's direction.)
True: Huh...?
(She walks toward the fountain, where the small light that flickered came from. She then peeks over and searches it.)
True: It's either my imagination, or...
(She then spots a golden key.)
True: A key?
(She grabs the drenched key, holding it in her hand.)
True: That might be a key for the exit. Wait, so that means the exit's hidden!
(She runs back to where Grizelda is.)
True: Grizelda! I found a key to the exit!
(Grizelda suddenly snaps out of her tired trance and hops upright.)
Grizelda: A key?! What are we waiting for, let's find where that key goes!
True: Well, judging that it's a key for the exit...
(She thinks.)
True: It should be somewhere in the outer layer of the maze!
Grizelda: So the back of it?
True: ...Yes, if you put it that way.
Grizelda: Okay, then you go for the right side of the outer layer, and I'll go for the left.
True: You really wanna get out, huh?
Grizelda: YES! Now let's go!
(She runs off.)
Grizelda: I'll call you over if I find it!
(True waves.)
True: Good luck!
(She then looks at the key.)
True: Alright. I should get to work finding this hidden exit too.
(She runs around the right side of the outer layer, feeling the walls for anything hard and lock-shaped.)
True: Come on, come on...
(Her hand suddenly hits something hard.)
True: Bingo!
(She turns to the wall and pulls back the leaves to reveal hidden lock with the keyhole resembling that of the tip of the key True found.)
True: Grizelda!!! I found it.
(Grizelda runs as fast as she can, and arrives at True's spot.)
Grizelda: Insert the key, insert the key!
True: Alright, alright, calm down..
(She grabs the key and inserts it into the lock. Once she turns it, the lock unlocks, and the hidden door opens slightly.)
True: Perfect, let's get out of he-
(She opens the door, and tons of arrow machines hide behind the other side of the door.)
Grizelda: What the-
True: GET DOWN!!!
(She tackles Grizelda and both of them land away from the sight of the arrow machines. The machines fire a flurry of arrows, while True and Grizelda get up.)
Grizelda: Thanks, True...
True: It was a fake exit.
Grizelda: Yeah, I can see that. Dang Maze Troll.
True: We have to keep looking.
Grizelda: So much for getting my hopes up..
(Purple and yellow lasers shoot across the sky. True and Grizelda look up.)
Grizelda: Uh...that's not part of the Festival too, right?
(True puts a worried look on her face.)
True: What the heck is going on over there...?
