Year 1062 marked a significant turning point.

Thamara Silverfox married Roman Dreadmoor, another second son. After six generations without inbreeding, the curse that had plagued Thamara's lineage finally broke. This became evident when she gave birth to a daughter named Rosella.

Unlike her ancestors, Rosella had emerald green eyes instead of golden ones, healthy kicking legs instead of a fin, and was born in the bright afternoon of summer. Confused and fearful, Thamara and Roman sought answers from a wise woman named Salara Mayflower. Salara confirmed that the curse haunting their bloodline had been lifted. The Dreadmoors reported this revelation to the King, but he remained cautious and upheld the treaty prohibiting dark magic and rituals, unsure of the full implications of the curse's end.

Lord Roman Dreadmoor was known as a good father but a harsh husband. He was determined that his daughter would live a normal life within the walls of Watchtower Castle, shielding her from the truth that her mother was only half-human. In his efforts to maintain this facade, any mention of mermaids was strictly forbidden and met with severe punishment. Lord Roman Dreadmoor concealed Thamara from his daughter and fabricated a tale that Thamara had tragically passed away during childbirth.

Thamara endured five years of heartbreak, trapped within the confines of a single pool chamber.

One fateful night, she resolved to end her suffering. Lord Roman's remorse deepened as he beheld Thamara's delicate form floating, her face beneath the water's surface. Despite this profound regret, he remained steadfast in his resolve to conceal the truth about Thamara's heritage from his daughter.
