"It's done," he whispered, his voice soft but final.

Elara felt an invisible tether tighten around her, linking

her to Darius. It was subtle at first, a barely-there

presence in the back of her mind, but it was growing

stronger with each passing second. She could feel him,

not just physically, but emotionally-his power, his

control.

She was his now.

"What happens next?" she asked, her voice barely a

whisper.

Darius smiled, his eyes gleaming with dark satisfaction.
