Y/N's POV:
(not proofread)

It was a pretty late night at the O'Connell's. Billie, Finneas, and I gathered in the living room while their parents cooked dinner in the kitchen for us all.

Finneas was composing tracks and snippets of music together while I sat around, proposing ideas to him as well. Billie was kind of in her own little world, she was being really cute though. Only plus side to that.

I watched as she put her phone flat down on the coffee table, Baby by Justin Bieber started playing. Finneas groaned while I chuckled. He turned to me and said, "I've heard this song too many times and this happens to be the third time today she's played it."

"Hey! Leave me alone." Billie crossed her arms, her lower half of her body dancing a little to the song. "It's my song and you'll listen to it forever and ever and ever." She stuck her tongue out at her older brother who just laughed in response.

I stood up, grabbing my girlfriend's hands. "I think it's cute." She spun me around, making me giggle a little. I backed off when she let me go held back a laugh at her silly dance moves. Even Finneas stopped working to watch her, we both shared smiles at her upbeat mood.

"Come on and dance with me, fools. Don't be shy." The blue haired girl smirked a little, bopping her head and slowly walking up to me, trying to grab my hands and get me to dance with her.

"No, no, no. Dancing is not my thing." I chuckled awkwardly but Finneas stood up, Maggie and Patrick came from the kitchen to join the party.

"Oh please, I've seen you. You've got moves,  baby." Billie winked at me and grabbed my hand, spinning me around once again before looping her arms around my waist to keep me against her.

I didn't fight it this time, just savoring this rare moment with the girl. Despite how happy I could make her, I knew that her mental health has always taken a toll on her and it would've been a while to get her happy again.

I turned around in her arms, placing my hands on the back of her neck. Billie grinned up at me, pecking both sides of my face. "You're the best, you know that?" She cocked her head at me.

"How?" I asked curiously.

"Because you took one look at me after reading a stupid song I wrote and now you are determined to make me into something big." Billie's eyes were glued to mine the whole time. "I believe you wholeheartedly but promise me that in this process, I won't lose you."

"You won't ever lose me, Billie." I cupped her face gently, pecking her lips. "I promise with my life."

A content smile formed on her face as she melted in my arms. She rested her head against my shoulder as Finneas shut the music off to play a soft song for us. Even Maggie and Patrick were slow dancing. Finneas didn't have anyone to dance with but he didn't mind at all, he had the biggest grin on his face by just watching us.

This family was filled with so much love.

When our little serenade was over, their parents slipped off to bed while Finneas watched a horror movie by himself in his room. Billie crashed on the couch with a heavy sigh, opening her arms for me.

I smiled and immediately laid on top of her, tucking my head under her chin, my warm breath fanning over her neck. "I just need to ask-" I sat up in her lap, making Billie's eyes reopen. "You do want this, right? I wouldn't force this fame on you if you didn't want it."

Billie chuckled a little. "I might not like it at first, but I want to make music and have fans who I will grow to adore." Her hands settled on my hips. "I didn't know how much I wanted this dream until you said it."

I grinned and leaned down to kiss her again. It was a much longer yet slower kiss that was filled with so much love neither of us could express in words. No matter how hard life would get if this superstar plane worked, I meant what I promised.

I'll stay with her through it all.
