Days passed since Kabir’s underhanded move to steal the Sengupta deal, but Aarav refused to let the loss weigh him down. His determination, however, came at a personal cost. The stress, mixed with his ongoing heart condition, became a constant shadow over his every move. Yet, he pressed forward.
Aarav sat at his desk in his office, fingers drumming against the polished wood. His gaze lingered on the financial reports in front of him, but his mind wandered, filled with thoughts of revenge and justice. His brother, Vivaan, had warned him about pushing himself too hard. Aarav knew he had to be cautious, but he also knew that this battle with Kabir was bigger than just business—it was personal now.
The door creaked open, and Vivaan stepped in, carrying his usual air of calm authority. His expression was unreadable, but Aarav could sense that his brother had something weighing on his mind.
"You shouldn't be here," Vivaan said softly, leaning against the doorframe. "You know the doctor advised you to take it easy."
Aarav didn't look up from his papers. "I can’t just sit around while Kabir dismantles everything we've built. We’ve already lost the Sengupta deal, Vivaan. If we don’t act now, there will be nothing left to fight for."
Vivaan crossed the room and took a seat across from his brother. "I know this is hard for you, Aarav, but you're no good to anyone if you end up in the hospital again. Kabir is playing a long game, and if we don't play smart, we're going to lose more than just business."
Aarav leaned back in his chair, running a hand through his curly hair. His hazel eyes flickered with frustration. "I hate this. I hate feeling weak. I hate that I’m not the one who can stop him."
"You’re not weak," Vivaan countered, his voice firm. "You’ve been through hell and back with your heart condition, and you’re still here, still fighting. But you can’t do this alone."
Aarav was about to respond when the office door swung open, and Aditya walked in, his phone in hand. His usual confident demeanor was marred by a hint of urgency.
"We have a problem," Aditya announced, closing the door behind him. "Kabir’s been making moves. He’s planning to host a massive event this weekend to announce a new partnership. Word is, he’s been using the Sengupta deal to leverage more power."
Aarav's jaw tightened. "He’s not wasting any time, is he?"
"No," Aditya replied, his expression dark. "And it gets worse. He’s already spreading rumors about you. People are starting to wonder if you’re fit to run the company with your health in question."
Vivaan’s eyes flashed with anger. "That snake… he’s using Aarav’s condition to undermine him."
Aarav felt a wave of exhaustion wash over him. He knew Kabir was ruthless, but this—using his heart condition as a weapon—was a new low. Yet, despite the weight pressing on his chest, Aarav couldn’t let Kabir win.
"We’ll expose him," Aarav said, his voice steady despite the pain creeping into his words. "We’ll show everyone who Kabir Mittal really is."
Vivaan stood, his hazel-grey eyes locked on his brother. "You’re not doing this alone, Aarav. I’ll be by your side every step of the way. But you have to promise me something."
Aarav raised an eyebrow. "What?"
"That you’ll let me take care of you when things get bad. No more hiding your pain. No more pretending you’re invincible. You let me be your doctor when you need me, and we’ll take Kabir down together."
Aarav hesitated for a moment, knowing how hard it was to admit his own vulnerability. But seeing the determination in Vivaan’s eyes, he nodded. "Alright. I promise."
Just then, the door opened again, and Saanjh stepped into the room. She wore a look of concern, but her presence was like a breath of fresh air in the tense atmosphere.
"Saanjh," Aarav greeted her, his tone softening as she walked over to him.
"I heard what Kabir’s been up to," she said, glancing between Aarav and Vivaan. "Are you okay?"
Aarav offered her a small smile, though it didn’t quite reach his eyes. "I will be. We have a plan, and we’re going to fight back."
Saanjh took a seat beside him, placing a hand on his arm. "Just promise me you’ll take care of yourself, Aarav. Kabir might be a threat, but your health is more important than any deal."
Aarav nodded, appreciating her concern. "I know. I’m not going to let him win, Saanjh. Not like this."
The room fell into a quiet, tense silence. The war with Kabir was far from over, but the resolve in Aarav, Vivaan, and their friends was stronger than ever.
As the weekend approached, the stage for Kabir's big event was set. But little did he know, Aarav and Vivaan had their own moves to make. And this time, they weren’t going to let Kabir get away with his lies.
The battle for control of the company—and their lives—was about to reach a boiling point.
