He fell down in the arms of another girl, his ultimate heartbreak, his first love.
Aerin stayed motionless with the piercing sight. The feeling is indefinable, she cannot put into words. The emotions are hitting, deadening, feels like concrete drying in her chest. Her arms are all ready to catch him and yet, it didn't come about.
"Oh my God, Hee! Are you okay?" Dahye asked in alarm.
"He's okay. He's okay. Just give him air." the other staff jumped for help.
They both tried to lift Heeseung up while Aerin stayed immobile. Her eyes are keenly looking on the girl's hand while she softly strokes Heeseung's chest. Aerin's period of irrational came to an end, she scoffed hard in disbelief.
"Hee? It's me." Dahye muttered again.
Aerin rolled her eyes. The obvious manner of Dahye's seduction is making her lose her strings. She came forward and had enough. She going to take her man no matter what it takes.
"Hee? Can you open your eyes for me?" Aerin asked.
In a matter of seconds, she saw a smile appeared on his lips, eyes stretched to greet her worried gaze. Aerin was comforted so quickly.
"Hey... I am now." Heeseung weakly greeted and tried to reach for her face.
Aerin jolted. Glancing at Dahye, she saw a quick side eye. Aerin remained at ease, helped Heeseung sat down to make him normally breathe.
"We'll take you back to your waiting room." Aerin whispered back.
"My outfit is so tight, I can barely breathe. Can you loosened it a bit, ba--" Heeseung stopped when Aerin cuts him off with water on his mouth.
"Drink this." Aerin's hand shivered in tension.
Heeseung almost choke with the water. That was close if not for her fast reflex. Aerin can sense Dahye is giving her a gaping look. She made a move to lift Heeseung up along with the other crew but was again set off by an annoying, kittenish voice.
"I was so worried, Heeseung-ssi. Are you really sure you're okay?" Dahye asked once again and made sure Heeseung noticed her now.
"D-Dahye?" Heeseung was jarred seeing her so close to his side. "What are you doing here?"
"I just want to see you and... Can we talk in private, Hee?" Dahye is pulling a provocative stare.
Dahye is trying hard to look cute, purposely blinking her eyes whenever she catches Lee Heeseung's gaze, and Aerin is so miffed by the sight.
"No way!" Aerin cannot control the sudden outburst. "I mean, not today. Heeseung needs to rest."
She was fast enough to pull Heeseung a little bit harder, deliberately dragging him back to the waiting room, away from Kim Dahye.
"Aw. Easy, Aerin. My side hurts." Heeseung softly complained.
How would she tell him that she's grudging too? She hated to think someone is trying to dally on Lee Heeseung, when he's not actually single. But their relationship is a top secret, it gives the other girls a reason to flirt with him.
In the corners of the waiting room laid the other members, all are inflicting pains of exhaustion. Aerin gently put Heeseung down and whispered something on his ear, soft enough not be heard by anyone else and careful enough not to be judged by anyone around them.
"I can't stay here. I'll call you when I'm already home."
"Babe, I can explain." Heeseung hushed back, totally ignoring the dangers of getting caught.
