in all honesty i haven't seen him for almost a month, god i miss him so much. we had a small encounter, i told him i'd wait at the window of in-soo's class during lunch break and so i did. with no actual hope of him passing by. but to my surprise a familiar mop of black hair, his bag worn up front and his friend close by, was my boyfriend, jisung.
"in-soo he's coming!" i squealed in pure joy, we both looked out the window calling his name, he looked up confused. i waved happily and he waved back, a small smile plastering his features. his friend looked at him confused. it was short but memorable.
now it was saturday, yet another boring weekend. today however i had plans, on going out to see a parade with my friend, what was her name again... —. the parade was not usual, in-soo was in it, which made it special. nahyun had texted asking me to take her picture, who am i to say no.
and so i did, took pictures and videos, the band stopped infront of me and my friend, infront of me stood a familiar face, i didn't really speak to her so my mind just deleted her name.
after the parade, we returned home relaxing, jisung who i'd been expecting to meet, but didn't. i texted him to come by to give whatever he was planning on giving. he came without a question, i was shocked at first. i ran to my mom and told her, she told me tell my dad and so i did.
my mom sent haehyun with me, we both ran out the door. we stood at the gate, looking around, jisung cleared his throat coming towards us. "hey" he spoke, voice so soothing. "hi" i replied, the corners of my lips curling up. "you must be le choild" he turned to my brother, "nice to meet you" he said coolly fist bumping haehyun "nice to meet you too" the kid replied.
jisung turned back to me "how was the parade" he asked. "oh you know, usual, i saw in-soo though" i shyly say, my eyes meeting his brown ones. "what was it you wanted to give me?" i say, "oh uhm" he said awkwardly. "can you like go away" he shooed my brother away. once the boy was out of sight, he shoved his hand into his pocket.
"close your eyes" i closed my eyes, "give me your hand". "okay" i say holding out my right had, he took it gently. i felt his hand shaking as it held mine, the cold feeling of metal against my finger as he slid on a ring. "open your eyes" i opened them looking at the ring. "do you like it?" he asked. "i love it" i smiled looking at it, "i have a matching one" he showed, the silver band on his ring finger.
"happy girlfriends day, my love" he said smiling, after that we bid goodbye, i ran back to my brother giggling. "what did he give you?" haehyun asked, "didn't you see?" i asked, the boy shook his head. "i was peaking but i couldn't see anything" i giggled like a little girl with a crush, as my brother glanced at the shiny new addition on my finger.
we both returned inside, the rest wasn't great. my parents weren't exactly happy but it was what it is. i ended up spamming my friend's groupchat out of happiness. while in-soo being herself sent a whole screen recording to jisung, pure betrayal.
