Chapter 31

Igor

A bright sunlight through the window casted on my face waking me up from my deep slumber. With closed eyes I stretched my hand to hug Caesar but there was no one and his side was empty.

Then, I looked at the time and realized that I overslept. Within few minutes, I showered and got ready for the day.

I was in my normal mood or you can say tension free as everything was going on perfectly fine in our life right now. But my happy bubble bursted when I walked downstairs and saw Caesar's mood...

"Speak" Caesar's voice was low and filled with authority.

Akim was standing in front of him with his head low while rose and lion were also looking at him with serious expression.

Akim hesitated before saying anything to Caesar but he cleared his throat and put forward the information.

"Boss, we got the news that a new head is appointed in the Russian police force and he has already started investigating all our... illegal activities... Uh, he is da-dangerous".

"Dangerous?" Caesar's tone was laced with dark amusement while he swirl the glass of wine in his hand.

"For how many years, you have been with me, Akim?" He raised an eye brow at him.

"Since you took the po-positon, boss" Akim was trembling under Caesar's scrutinized eyes.

"Then you should fucking know how to handle him!" Caesar's loud voice echoed in the whole mansion and Akim took a step back in fear.

"I-I will handle" He was sweating and breathing fast when Caesar walked towards him.

"You better or I will handle you first" Caesar's tall figure towered upon him and Akim nodded.

Before Caesar could get more angry I stepped in front of everyone.

"Akim, leave!" I ordered and everyone gathered in the living room left except for rose and lion.

"Good morning, son...We'll let you handle him" Rose kissed my forehead and whisperd in my ear before leaving along with lion.

Then, I looked at Caesar who had a tight grip on the glass that could break any second and his sharp eyes focused on the spot where Akim was earlier.

"Caez, breathe" I caressed his arm gently.

"Igor, did you hear? They think they can hunt me down!...That fucking asshole!" He threw the glass in rage and looked at me with fury in his eyes.

"Everyone knows, they can't even touch you. So, pls control your anger. You are not only hurting yourself but others also".

"Control? No baby, this time I'll make them realize who Caesar Mikahilov is. This isn't over" His breathing fastened in anger.

"You will not do anything. They are behind you and I don't want any fucking thing happened to you. Do you hear me?"

Now my blood was boiling after seeing Caesar's reaction. I knew how much this news has affected him, us, our family.

All these years we have worked smoothly and now a bloody officer will stand on our head, that is not something we take lightly.

"But Igor..." He tries to argue but I put my finger on his lips.

"This conversation is over" I ordered before hugging him tightly and took my morning love dose.

"I don't know what I would do without you" After a few minutes he said. His anger vanished into thin air as soon as I touched him.

"I am always here with you" And I whispered in his ear softly.

After a while, everything went back to normal. Every person of the house were doing their own work while Caesar and I got ready for office.

It's been hours since we were working in our own office's until Akim barged into my room.

"What the hell, Akim!" I shouted at him the second he stepped inside without knocking.

"Sorry boss but something happened..." He was breathing rapidly and his face was blown away.

"Our whole gang in Rioto has been wiped out. Two hours ago, police raided that place, confiscated our material and killed our men".

"Fuck! How the hell did they reach there?" My voice increased.

"They got an intel from inside" I roamed my fingers in my hair in frustration.

"Does Caesar know?" He shaked his head and I relaxed a bit.

"I will inform him, you don't have to. Go!" And he left my room while I tried to think a way to get out of this situation.

'This morning only Akim told us about that officer and by afternoon he had already erased one of our places...That means he is investigating us from a very long time... with someone's help'.

I was trying to figure out the puzzle of the situation we are in right now, when someone knocked and within seconds Celina ran inside.

"Sir! Boss, he is shouting on everyone...Pls come fast" I immediately ran towards his room with Celina behind me.

When I barged in, I saw not only Caesar but at least 10-12 people standing in a line with their head down in front of him.

"Why the hell is everyone not doing their fucking job correctly, today?" He literally roared in anger. No one said anything or even dared to move an inch in fear of Caesar's wrath.

"What's going on?" I moved forward while looking at the people standing there and stood beside Caesar.

"Millions! My business lost millions and no one from these useless people know the reason behind it!" Caesar told me. Then I looked at the whole bunch of people for answers while Caesar crossed his arms and let me handle the situation.

For a few seconds I didn't utter a word and just waited for any one of them to come forward. They knew I can get more furious and violent than Caesar so, it's better to not test my patience.

Next second, one person stood in the middle...

"S-Sir, we are trying to look into the matter. We only know that someone from inside did it because they knew every minor detail of how our account system works" The man was sweating like nothing under Caesar's glare.

"That's it!...I give you money to not sit idle but to ensure that my hard earned money is safe, you idiot!" Caesar's rage was unstoppable as he exploded again.

"Caez, calm down..." I diverted my attention to him by holding his hand in front of everyone. He didn't say anything after that but disappointment, anger and frustation was clearly visible on his face.

"I give you 24 hours. Figure all this out and report to me back... If I don't get any answer from you after 24 hours get over, then... you all will face my wrath, got it?"

I announced in clear words and the whole room was dead silence because everybody knows I am more dangerous when I am most calm.

"Ye-Yes, sir" The man was shivering in panic because of the time bomb that I hung on their heads.

After that everyone left and I gave my full attention to him...

"Why are you so worked up? Just relax, I will handle everything" And kissed his lips.

He nodded but still there was tension on his face so I hugged him and we both stayed like that.

'There is definitely something going on...'
