I woke up after a good, peaceful sleep, stretching lazily as the sunlight filtered through the curtains. The bed felt warm, but Yash wasn’t beside me. He always woke up before me, getting ready while I stayed curled up in bed. It had become part of our routine—him getting dressed, silently watching over me before I woke up.

I blinked the sleep from my eyes, feeling a soft smile tug at my lips. The room was filled with a calm stillness, the kind that made you want to linger in bed just a little longer. But something was different today. I could feel it.

Just as I was about to sit up, I felt the bed dip slightly. Before I could react, I was gently pulled back down, my body being embraced by familiar arms. “And where do you think you’re going, Little Swan?” Yash’s deep voice whispered into my ear, sending a shiver down my spine.

I laughed softly, leaning into him, feeling the warmth of his chest against my back. “I thought you’d already be dressed and ready to go, like always.”

His lips brushed the side of my neck, teasingly slow. “Not today. Today is just us. No work, no distractions. Just you and me.”

I turned in his arms, facing him now, and playfully raised an eyebrow. “Just us? Are you sure you can manage that, Mr. Always-Busy?”

His hand slid around my waist, pulling me even closer, our noses almost touching. “I’m more than capable of focusing entirely on you, my author sahiba. And I plan to, starting now.”

The way his voice dipped, rich and playful, made my heart race. I bit my lip, pretending to be serious. “You know, I might be hard to handle for a whole day.”

He smirked, his fingers tracing circles on my waist, sending jolts of warmth through me. “I think I’ll manage. Besides, I have a plan.”

I looked at him curiously, a mix of excitement and teasing. “A plan? Do tell.”

He rolled us over, hovering above me, his eyes darkening as they locked with mine. “How about we spend the rest of the day together? No interruptions. I’ll take you to your favorite restaurant, we’ll hit the adventure park, and maybe... we’ll end the day with a sunset.”

I couldn’t help but smile widely, my heart fluttering at the thought of a day like that. “You’re serious?”

“Dead serious,” he replied, leaning down to press a slow, lingering kiss on my lips. His lips moved against mine with a softness that made me melt under him. “Today is just for you.”

I giggled as I pushed him slightly, teasingly. “I guess I can let you spoil me for one day.”

He grinned before pulling me out of bed. “Get dressed, Little Swan. Our day awaits.”

An hour later, we were walking hand-in-hand down the street, the morning sun casting a golden glow on everything around us. Our first stop was my favorite restaurant, a cozy little place tucked away in a quiet corner of the city. The moment we stepped inside, the warm scent of freshly baked bread and brewed coffee greeted us.
