We are almost near to the end of the book. Hardly 10-15 chapters are left.  I won't update the book if I won't get any response. Your votes and Comments will encourage me to write more. I want to know what you've felt while reading certain key lines in the story. That helps me to improvise more and write better.

Vaishali sat by her window, reflecting on the harsh exchange. She felt a deep sense of sadness and disappointment but also a clarity about her own position. The anger and resentment that had clouded her judgment now seemed irrelevant in the face of the real issues at hand.

Determined to make a positive difference despite the fallout with Rajeev. Her experience with Rajeev had taught her an important lesson about focusing on what truly mattered.

Needing a respite from the emotional turmoil of recent days, Vaishali decided to revisit a place that once brought her solace. The hilltop overlooking Hyderabad had always been a heaven for her during college days. It is a place where she could escape and reflect in peace.

...............

As Vaishali drove up the winding road to the hilltop, the familiar sense of nostalgia and tranquility began to envelop her. The expansive view of Hyderabad, with its shimmering lights against the darkening sky, welcomed her. She parked her car and walked the last stretch on foot, her thoughts swirling with the recent challenges she had faced.

Upon reaching the top, Vaishali took in the cityscape, feeling a momentary relief from her inner conflict. She was lost in contemplation when a subtle rustling sound caught her attention. She turned her head and was struck by an unexpected sight. She saw Vaishnav, her ex-husband, sitting alone on a bench and  sipping from a bottle of beer.

Vaishnav was positioned with his back to her, seemingly engrossed in his own thoughts. Vaishali's heart skipped a beat, and she felt a rush of emotions—surprise, nostalgia, and a pang of sadness. The sight of him, so familiar yet so distant, evoked a flood of memories from their past together.

For a moment, Vaishali stood frozen, her eyes locked on Vaishnav. Memories of their time together—moments of joy, shared laughter, and the bond they once had—flashed vividly before her eyes. The warmth of those memories contrasted sharply with the present reality of their separation.

As she gathered her thoughts and prepared to approach him, she heard a faint ruffling sound, indicating that Vaishnav had shifted his position. Vaishali's heart raced, and she hoped he might look up and talk to  her. She took a step forward and her mind is filled with the anticipation of reuniting and possibly reconciling. He turned around and their eyes locked.

.............

Just as she was about to call out his name and initiate a conversation, Vaishnav turned his gaze away from her. He stood up and quickly gathered his belongings. He headed towards his car. Vaishali watched with a mixture of hope and disappointment as he started the engine.

Before she could react, Vaishnav's car was already in motion, driving away from the hilltop. Vaishali stood there and her heart is aching as the taillights of his car disappeared into the distance. The suddenness of his departure left her feeling empty and unresolved.

Vaishali watched the city lights twinkle below, the peaceful hilltop now feeling cold and distant. The brief encounter had stirred deep emotions, but the chance to reconnect had slipped away. She realized that despite the past, some things were meant to remain unresolved.

Taking a deep breath, Vaishali turned away from the view and began her descent back to her car. The night air felt crisp, and the serenity of the hilltop had not quite erased the ache in her heart. Yet, the experience had given her a renewed sense of clarity. She knew that, despite the unresolved feelings and past grievances, it was time for her to move forward with a sense of acceptance and peace.
