In a dimly lit room, the atmosphere was heavy with uncertainty. Meera lay motionless in a hospital bed and her face is pale against the white sheets. Monitors beeped rhythmically, a stark reminder of her fragile state. A maid quietly entered the room, her footsteps are soft against the cold marble floor.

Meera had been in a coma for weeks after the accidental fall from stairs that had left her and her family shattered. The maid glanced around ensuring no one was watching before making her way to Meera's bedside. With a quick yet practiced motion, she reached for the oxygen mask that clung to Meera's face and removed it, allowing the steady beep of the heart monitor to become more pronounced.

( Mangamma : kaastha prashaanthatha, anthe chaalu. )

Mangamma : Just a moment of peace, that's all I'm asking for.

Mangamma whispered by looking around as if the room itself could betray her. She swiftly turned to leave, her heart is racing at the thought of being caught.

A few moments later, Vasudha entered the room with  her heart heavy as she checked on her former sister-in-law. She had been coming to terms with the scars of her past, hoping for closure, but what she found instead sent a wave of panic coursing through her.

Vasudha : Meera ?

she called softly by  moving closer to the bed. Her heart dropped as she noticed the monitors flickering erratically.

Vasudha : No, no, no... this can't be happening.

She rushed to Meera's side and  her hands are trembling as she felt for a pulse. It was weak and fading. Vasudha quickly grabbed the oxygen mask and placed it back over Meera's face, adjusting it to ensure it was secure.

Vasudha : Breathe, Meera ! Please !

she urged and tears are welling in her eyes.

Vasudha's instincts kicked in. She reached for her phone and her hands are shaking as she dialled Vaidehi's number.

Vasudha : Come on, pick up.

she muttered anxiously and her heart is racing with dread.

Vaidehi : Hello Vadhina  !

Vaidehi answered with her warm and comforting voice but Vasudha could hear the hint of a baby's decreasing cry .

( Vasudha : Vaidehi ! Urgent ga nee help kaavali. Meera— tana paristhtithi baaledhu ! )

Vasudha : Vaidehi ! It's urgent ! I need your help. Meera—she's not stable !

Vasudha's voice quivered as she spoke and  the fear is palpable.

( Vaidehi : Ante enti artham vadhina ? Tanu lechindha ? )

Vaidehi : What do you mean Vadhina ? Is she awake ?

Vaidehi asked by immediately sensing the gravity of the situation.

( Vasudha : ledhu , coma loney undhi , kaani tana pulse padipotundhi. Tana gadhi lo ki vachhi choose sariki tanaki oxygen mask petti ledhu ! Tvaragaa raa ! )

Vasudha : No, she's still in a coma, but her pulse is dropping. I just found her without the oxygen mask ! You need to get here !

Vasudha urged and  panic is setting in.

( Vaidehi : okka nimisham ! )

Vaidehi : I'll be there in a minute !

Vaidehi replied and her tone is shifting to that of a focused professional.
