Towards the end of the event, you excuse yourself to join Sasha and talk about the evening. You obviously explain them right away what happened with Kamala and the position she offered you, you eventually shared the story with your uncle as well, who was very happy and proud of you. However now, your social energy is all the way down so you leave with Sasha to go home. As they drive, they bring up the unusual situation again. "I can't believe you're going to work for the President of the United States, that's literally insane. You'll probably know so many secrets and stuff, oh my god you'll have to tell me!" You laugh as you look at the road and shake your head subtly. "I'll try to share as much as I can but perhaps there's stuff I'll have to keep secret, you know?" They playfully groan and pout. "Yea, yea but you better tell me how it goes, especially with the hottie." You chuckle once again. "Kamala? She's married Sasha!" They glance at you while still paying attention to the road. "So? It never stopped you." You roll your eyes and playfully push their head towards the road. "That's not what I'm here for, but I agree that working for that kind of women is a bonus."

"There you go, that's my girl!" They encourage playfully as you just touch your forehead in despair. Once home you say farewell to your friend and join your apartment. Your thoughts immediately start boiling once you're alone and free from any distractions. Am I good enough? Does Kamala like me? Was she serious about hiring me? You go take a shower to stop your overworking mind but when you come back you have an interesting text from an unknown number. "Hello dear, it's Kamala. Let me know when you're available to discuss the details of your new job." Your heart skips a beat as you read the text and start wondering how to reply, or if you should call her. You eventually instinctively type back. "Good evening Kamala! I just came back from the event so I'm available right now actually!" Kamala is in her room, wearing pajamas when she receives your response. She smiles of satisfaction at your answer before she types quickly. "Perfect, I had a feeling you wouldn't be sleeping this early. We can discuss this through a call if that's alright with you." You feel a little shiver at the thought of talking to her directly but calm your nerves as you decide to hit the call button yourself as an answer.

She accepts the call as soon as she sees it, her cheerful and warm voice can be heard right away. "Hello dear, I see you're quick to answer your phone."

You: Hey, yea I was checking my phone when you texted so...

Kamala: I was wise to reach out at the right time then. Now, I'm gonna skip the small talk and get to the point if you don't mind.

You: Yes of course, it's already late and I'd rather go to sleep before sunrise!

She laughs at the cheeky reply and gets comfortable on her bed.

Kamala: Of course, I won't keep you up too late dear, I know you're probably tired. Okay, so... the first thing I wanted to discuss is your salary. It won't be minimum wage of course, as I said, this will be a demanding job that'll require you to take care of a lot of stuff and handle my schedule. You'll be paid accordingly.

You: Yes of course, I'm not doing this for money anyway but for the experience.

Kamala: I thought you'd say that, you don't come across as someone who values money. Let's talk about hours then. Being my private assistant means long hours and a lot of responsibilities so it won't be your average 9 to 5 job I hope you know that.

You: Yes I can imagine it's a changing planning with pretty unusual working hours.

Kamala: Indeed. In most cases you won't have a "schedule" per se, which is a problem that I've had with a lot of my previous assistants. Your schedule will change a lot depending on my own. It'll be... unpredictable, but I hope that won't discourage you because I'm willing to pay you very well and you clearly want the experience.
