I was standing outside Mom's office when Dad got out of his car.

"Hey Dan," Dad said. "What are you doing here?"

"Mom called me asking me to come to her office," I said. "What are you doing?"

"Bringing your mom breakfast since she missed it," Dad said. We walked into Mom's office. I dropped onto the chair at Mom's desk. Blake and Mom were sat talking.

"Morning. Missed you at breakfast, so I brought you Mrs. Gunnerson's famous banana bread," Dad said

"Oh, God, I miss Gunnerson's breakfasts," Blake said.

"Hi," Mom said as Dad kissed her cheek. "Oh, you shouldn't have. But because you did, you should know that I prefer her chocolate-chip croissants with a little dollop of whipped butter," Mom said sarcastically.

"You're welcome. Can I also book you for an early lunch, just to bounce some article ideas off you?" Dad asked.

"Um... You know, I would love to hear your ideas, but we're kind of working on a deadline, so maybe you could phone a friend?" Mom asked.

"Theo's at a conference, Nash is on assignment, Andrew's got a new baby. But, uh, no worries. I can see you're busy. I'll just, I'll see you tonight," Dad said. "See you later Dan," I nodded.

"Bye Dad," I said. Mom looked at me. "How can I help?"

"I know you prefer working with IT but I require your other abilities," Mom said.

"Okay I have many abilities from being my charming self to knowing how to extract certain information out of people using various techniques, locating an individual and finding personal information. Which one do you require?" I asked.

"I need you to translate some Spanish documents into English and the PR team also has some information that I need translated to Spanish," Mom said.

"Okay. Do you want Spain Spanish or south American Spanish?" I asked.

"There's a difference?" Blake asked.

"Yeah like there British English and American English," I said.

"The documents will have what type of Spanish is needed on them. How much is this going to cost me?" Mom asked.

"Give her 100$ and call it a day," Blake said.

"She's been working for Jeff and he's been teaching her about making sure she's not lowballed for the work she does," Mom said.

"Times have moved on Blake. Us teenagers know our worth. I have a skill that you require which will cost you 35 bucks an hour," I said. "And I'll take an hour's lunch paid," I said.

"How about 45 minutes paid and I'll give you a bonus if you finish by the end of business tomorrow?" Mom asked.

"Okay," I said.
