Luke squeezed through the crowds. So quickly it was time for the next meeting. He had trained for two long months at Akemi Ninomiya, the symbol of fire. Now he was one of her Enjo-Sha. Harumi had also stayed there for the two months. Kemuri, Kyojin and Hibiki had moved on after the first week so that Kemuri could do her apprenticeship with all the Shochos. He hadn't seen his friends for so long. Apart from Kyojin, he missed his friends very much. But he also missed Ayumi, his former coach. He wanted to show her how strong he had become.
In the crowds, he saw Hibiki and Kyojin. Hibiki smiled and waved at him, while Kyojin looked disinterested. "Where's Kemuri?" he managed breathlessly. "You'll see her in a moment," hibiki replied proudly. "There!" shrieked harumi, pointing to the back stone stairs, "There, by the Shochos! She did it!"
Then they saw the shochos. Ryu senjiosaki, also a friend of theirs, nodded at them in a friendly way. Akemi winked at Luke and smiled. Masemi waved.
And in the midst of them stood Kemuri. She seemed a bit insecure but still proud.
