Bailey's p.o.v

I woke up with an arm slung around me. 

I turned around and there was Jason.

WAIT WHAT?

I fell out of the bed.

I looked up and saw Daniel looking down at me from the bed.

Wait wasn't that Jason?

"What's wrong?" He asked with his voice husky from just waking up.

I shook my head thinking something was wrong with my head "Yeah I am fine don't worry about me." then gave him a smile to reassure him.

He smiled back and then rolled back on to the bed.

I sighed and then put my hand to my head. I didn't feel warm.

It must be from starting the mate's bond by kissing his cheek.

Ugh Why did I have to do that?

because he is our mate

I sat up immediately because this is the first time I've heard my wolf since I got home.

What was her name again?

Talia and the reason I haven't been talking to you is because I am mad at you for picking that blood sucker over our mate.

She growled the last part.

I love Daniel.

Do you really? Or do you just feel obligated to be with him because you have been with him since like forever and he saved you?

Damn wolf and her good points.

Damn right.

Shut up. I waited a few seconds but I knew she was in the back of my mind.

I got up on my feet and then looked at the bed at Daniel. 

Do I love him?

I mean he isn't ugly and he makes me feel safe but something is missing.

He isn't your mate.

I sighed and I knew what I had to do.

Ashley's p.o.v

I woke up in my bed. I looked around wondering how I got here.

Then I remembered everything.

Preston.

I rushed out my room and to the kitchen where I saw Preston sitting at the counter eating cereal.

I ran to him and tackled him into a hug.

He groaned and then laughed.

"Can you please get off of me?" He asked and I slowly got off of him.

"How are you here? How are you not dead? You supposed to be de-" I burst into tears and fell to the ground.

Preston quickly wrapped his arms around me.

"Hey hey shhhh I am here now that's all that matters." He cooed.

"But..but..you got...into..the..car.....to...look...for me and you could.....have...died...beCAUSE...OF....ME!" I said in hysterics by the end of my dragging sentence.

"No Ashley it isn't your fault. I choose to get in that car and not put my seat belt on and it's also the guy's fault for swerving on the road on his phone." He said still rubbing my back.

"It is m-"

"NO!" He said and then took my face in his hands."It is NOT YOUR FAULT! IN no way is it your fault." He said kissing my forehead. I snuggled into him and finally stopped crying but just wanted to be hold by my brother.

After a few more minutes my mom(A/N Bitch alert) walked in.

"Ashley can I speak with you in my office?" She asked looking kinda pissed off.

This can't be good.

I nodded and then got up and followed her to her office.

I walked in in front of her and she came after me closing the door.

"Sit. NOW!" She said and I quickly sat on the couch and she came in front of me and paced.

She did that for a few minutes before reaching out and slapping me on the face.

I held my hand on my cheek where I can feel some tear drops start to come down.

"How dare you bring that creature in this house when you know what his family did to our kingdom! I thought you were smarter than that! Apparently not."

"What are you talking about?" suddenly getting angry and standing up ad glaring at her.

She matched my stance and then glared harder at me.

"Mark. That is what I am talking about. Apparently he is your friend and he is a vampire for god's sakes! What is wrong with you! He even threatened your father!" She said.

"We aren't friends. We are mates!" I screamed at her and her face went pale.

"what?" She shrieked.

"I am going to reject him anyway because we would never work." I said and sat back down on the couch.

"Damn right or else I am pulling you out of cheer leading." She said sternly.

"You can't do that!" I screamed at her and I felt myself get angry again.

"You will reject him and then also we are moving away from this town." She said and then went to leave but I grabbed her hand I felt this power coursing through me.

"Listen mother," I said mother with enough in my venom," stop being a little bitch and let us stay here I will avoid him just let us stay here." I said looking right in her eyes.

"No. You don't have a say in this house." She said and then took her arm out of my grasp. She kept trying to walk out.

I felt this energy and then I blacked out.

Why does this keep happening?
