RECAP OF THE PREVIOUS CHAPTER: [BECAUSE IT'S BEEN QUITE A WHILE...]

Jennie was sitting at her window inside her bedroom watching the moonlit sky until a message popped up on her phone from Jungkook who unexpectedly broke up with her with a text message. Jennie remained baffled as she decided to confront him at school regarding his hurtful messages...

Meanwhile, Jungkook's phone had gotten lost as he wandered around trying to find it. He went to the police trying to find his phone but it turns out that it could have been stolen...

Jungkook's POV:

"I think I lost my phone, eomma!" I screamed at her as soon as I reached home. I could see her narrowing her eyes at me with her ears turning up like a bunny in inquisitive to listen.

"You lost your phone?! Do you think I have enough money to buy you a new one???" Mom shrieked with angsty tears pouring out of her eyes.

"It's okay...I'll try to find it," I assured her until my mom left out a huge gasp.

"What if you ask that rich girlfriend of yours to buy you a new phone?" she gathered herself with all her tears coming to a halt.

"No, I'm not going to ask her for buying me a new phone? It won't sound nice," I said uncomfortable with the idea of begging her for a phone.

"What else is a rich girlfriend for if you don't even ask for a phone? She has the money," Mom said cackling like a bandit on the loose.

"Seriously, are you even making any sense?" I said watching her think of Jennie like that.

"I'm not some gold digger. She's my girlfriend because I really love her, ok?" I protested as I watched my mom's blemished stern face bloom into an irksome laugh.

"I rEaLLy LoVe hEr!!!" Mom mimicked me as I watched her prance around speaking in a fake accent.

"I don't even talk like that!" I raged furrowing my eyes at her.

"Whatever, go get a phone from her," Mom said.

"No," I firmly spoke as I grabbed a bottle of banana milk to pacify myself.

"The reason I allowed you to date in high school was because she's rich and you're broke like a grandpa's arm and when would that Bang PD guy even debut you all? And what if you get eliminated?" she said exasperatedly like a hush of wind.

"I won't get eliminated, ok!" I said as I felt a shiver of doubt through my chest.

WHAT IF I DO GET ELIMINATED?

That would be the most melancholic, depressing moment in my life if I ever do get removed from the shortlist...A lot of the trainees have gotten removed last week and it's sad to see so many talented candidates to go...You need to be the best when it comes to the idea of debuting. But, I'm sure I have it in me and destiny would unfold a way to reach there...I really hope so!

Just imagine standing there on stage watching people go crazy for you with camera lights flashing all over my face...Just getting to do what I love is what I really want...Singing, dancing, rapping, writing songs and making an eternal bond with those unknown bandmates? That's what I really want and I seriously hope that Jennie gets to debut too. She's an ace, I'm sure she'll be amazing too!

I root for the both of us for an extraordinary future even if we live in this strenuous present. I hope that the days of struggle transcend into a day of stars and spotlights. One day, we'll make it there!

But for now, I needed to get my phone back but who could have taken it? I looked around trying to build up the pieces of scattered thoughts into a barbed wire of a good idea. What could I do? I'll use Jennie's phone for texting my parents for now- I thought to myself until I turned my head and saw Jennie standing behind me with a sullen, infuriated look.

"WHY THE HELL ARE YOU BREAKING UP WITH ME?" she screamed as I watched her twinkling eyes fade into a cloud of melancholia.

"Jen, when did I do that?" I panicked raising my eyebrows in surprise.

"Didn't you text me that you hate me, you fool!" she said as I watched her pretty face become one stricken with terror.

"Jen, I could never hate you," I dropped down on my knees, "hating you is something forbidden, to be honest. It's a sin that I could never commit and I promise you that I don't want to break up with you."

"Then what's this?" she said as she showed her phone with a few awful text messages I'd never written.

"Wait, but my phone's stolen," I replied widening my eyes, "these messages were sent when I didn't even have my phone."

"Really?" she asked looking up at me. How petite was she!

"Yes, dear," I replied until I saw my mom eavesdropping our conversation.

"Awww..." she said as she ran towards Jennie and said, "My stupid boy's lost his phone. Buy him one, please!"

"You're like my daughter I never had...Please," she went on and on.

"Ignore my Mom," I said rolling my eyes at her, "but yeah, I did lose my phone and it looks like somebody else has texted this break-up text after stealing my phone."

"Wait, then who could have written this and why?" Jennie said and abruptly her lips muttered, "I know who it is..."
