Her Cruel Past

Author POV ( Flashback)

Dark clouds were looming over the dark blue sky a loud booming voice of thunder could be heard making their heart clench with fear there wasn't any sound of birds chirping at this time and why would because it's past midnight time and they all must have returned to their families

Families? He thought to himself bitterly does he have one? His heart churned with memories he had behold deep within his heart.

Getting up from the bench he was sitting on he looked in front of those big luxurious houses in the porsh area of Quetta he decided to go back to his home where his small family was waiting for him.

The thunder strikes loudly once more and the next moment he felt the heavy droplets of rain pouring on him making him soaked completely.His gaze went up to the dark sky as the droplets made his face wet and he instantly shook his head from remembering the cruelty of that night and made his way towards his home.

As soon as he got near his home he stand under the small roof beside his apartment and flipped his hair jerking them to get the water out of them.

On the other hand she was getting anxious with every second passing by she was worried for him who hasn't returned since he had left in the evening thought she wants to go and search for him but due to being in her eight month she could not go as she can barely walk in this condition.

She had tried calling him but there was no response from his side and this made her more worried that all she could do was pray for his safety or either tried calling him every two seconds.

Her heart has been beating loudly for a quiet a while which wasn't even a good sign for her health she doesn't have to be stressed as per doctor's instructions but she cannot help the situation she was in right now.

' Oh God please send him back to me safe and sound please ' she prayed to the almighty for his wellbeing.

Loud sound of clouds thundering wasn't even helping her situation her inner turmoil was on another level that if more she would definitely lost her breath in coming next minutes.

She had even closed all the doors and windows of apartment not because of the thunder she was afraid of but because of the threat that had been lurking on their heads for past one week since they had left the haveli.

She has been constantly praying for him for the love of her life and as if on cue the God has finally decided to listen to her prayers there was a loud knock on the door and she hurriedly got up from the sofa but eventually slow as she couldn't run due to her condition.

As soon as she opened the door she latched herself onto him and he didn't even wait a single second in wrapping his mascular arms around her.

' Where were you Saalim '? The words left her mouth making him smile sadly at her.

Well there is indeed someone who cares for me who remember me! He thought quietly to himself.

' I was here it's just that I was in the park for quite awhile but didn't expect the rain to be this heavy now will you let me in begum I'm freaking wet from head to toe, he explained with a smile on his face.

Oh my God you should have told me earlier, she said getting worried while taking his hand in her soft one dragging him inside with her.

' Stay here I'll bring dry clothes for you ' she said and was going to move when he pulled her back and made her sit on the couch.

' You stay right here I'll go and change hmm wait for me I'll be quick, saying that he sprints upstairs towards his room.

After about five to seven minutes later he came back wearing gray t-shirt along with khaki shorts only to see her snoring on the couch making him smile at her and this was all because of the pregnancy that she was feeling sleepy all the time.
