9: Girl In the Alleyway!?

Maya P.O.V

Teddy needs doggy stuff so I'm at the pet store with dad and my best friend destiny. I'm roaming the aisle searching for things that Teddy might like while dad is buying puppy food.

"oh!, look Maya here's a cute dog toy." Destiny got my attention.

"Where?" I asked seeing her point to a toy.

It was a toy squirrel holding a acorn "oh that's really cute" I said picking up the toy and pressing it hearing a squeak come from it *squeak* "and it squeaks dad can we buy this for Teddy?"

Ethan turned around to what she was asking about it and saw the toy then smiled and nod.

I threw the toy in the basket and ran ahead with Destiny to see what else we'll find. Destiny is sleeping over at my house and I told her about Ethan taking me to California for summer vacation. We were talking about what we want to do when we grow up. She told me that she might want to be a news reporter or a singer. I thought both of those ideas are amazing and can see her doing either of those, and I told her I would want to be a voice actress or a social worker because I want to help kids find homes.

Speaking of being a voice actress I'm going to audition for a voice acting role which I think is really cool.

The animation movie I'm auditioning for is called You Found Me, it's about a little girl named Leia an she is lost in the woods and another little girl named Sandie finds her and takes her home and the Sandie's family ends up adopting Leia. One of Ethan's friends told us the name of the movie it's name is You Found Me. Oh, and Sandie also turned out to be adopted too by that family.

I will be auditioning to do the voice of Leia and if I don't get the part I'll just keep trying or voice acting is just not for me and that's okay.

I'm in my room playing tug a war with Teddy he is doing much better now and has a lot of energy. "Teddy are you tired." Teddy is barking and keep grabbing on to the rope as I dangle it above him. Destiny giggles and grabbed his new toy "Teddy you want Mr. squirrel." she gently throws the toy to him and he lets go of the rope and grabbed the squirrel then run out the room.

Destiny and I decided to play charades and then watch a movie while eating popcorn.

Eventually the next day came and Destiny had to go home and her brother Vince came to pick her up and take her home.

When they left I took Teddy out for a walk it wasn't winter anymore it's now spring while I was walking I heard something that sound like crying. I followed the sound even if it might sound stupid of me to do that I feel like I need to know.

I also had pepper spray just in case I need to use it, and I hope I'll never need to use it. Anyway I'm getting closer to a alleyway where the noise is coming from. I stopped peeking down the alleyway and let me tell you it doesn't look friendly down there.

I looked at Teddy to see him staring forward down the alleyway. Why did it have be this time walking him I come across situation.

"Lord Jesus please protect us. I pray for everything to be okay."

As I keep walking I notice that the cry is coming from a little girl looking close to my age. "Why is she here by herself" I wondered.

I taped her on the shoulder and she flinched when I touched her, she looked up at me with a scared expression on her face. I felt pain for this girl it hurts seeing others suffer even if you don't know them, it would be amazing if you could help everyone that is going through hard times.

I sat next to the girl and laid Teddy on my lap "why are you here by yourself?"

"..."

"I'm Maya... what's your name?

"..."

I frowned "all I want to do is help you."

The glance at the ground sadly "Fawn, that's my name."

I grinned "it's nice to meet you Fawn why are you in this alleyway. You know it's dangerous, right?"

Fawn sighed and started to opened up telling me the entire story from start to now. At the end both I and Fawn was crying and Teddy was trying to comfort us.

I smiled down at Teddy petting his head.

"Want to hold Teddy for a while?"

Fawn looked at Teddy and nod her head so I lend Teddy over to her so she could hold him. We sat there for a while in silence.

I got up from where I was sitting and stretched my arms widely smiling and looked down to her.

"Come on" I told her.

She looked at me confused.

"There's a orphanage near by." I said.

She gave me a skeptical look and I understand why but I'm not sure what else to do.

I crouched down to her "I know understand but it might be better than out here."

She sighed in defeat and hands Teddy over to me and stood up and together we walked to the orphanage.

Time Skip

I got done talking to miss Carol and walked back to Fawn.

I stopped beside her whispering something in her ear "I hope we see each other again and I have faith that you'll find a loving family, remember Jesus loves you and may God bless you."

After that I left the building and Teddy and I walked back home.

"I pray that things work out for her."
